In response to complaint # ***, the following statement is my account of the events that took place.Yes the customer did bring her car to me for an assessment of the problem and I had done work for her or other cars in the pastThe customer had her car towed to my place of business in October
of and not February of I did inform her that that the car had major engine problems which is a costly repairInstead of the customer making arrangements to have her car repaired she requested that I assist her in defrauding her Insurance company by saying that the car was stolen from my place of businessWhen I refused to assist in her scheme by lying to the police and the insurance company, she made threats against my business and left very angryI contacted her on several occasions requesting she pick up her vehicleIn July of 2016, which was nine months later after no resolution, I called the towing companyI called her and informed her that the car will be towed from my place of business that dayShe spoke with the man towing the car and informed the driver to take the car to the junk yardThe car was then towed to a local junkyard with the customer's consent. The Customer knows where her car isI went to the junk yard and confirmed that the car is still thereI am the sole business owner of DMCI have been in business for over yearsI am in the shop from 9-six days a week and closed only on SundayStating that I was unavailable for over months is a total untruth. No I did not do any work on the car because the customer had no intentions of repairing itI did not charge any storage feeI only wanted her to take action and not abandon her vehicle in my establishment

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:He his insisting I wanted to commit fraudulent activity regarding my car. I turned my tags to the MVA in February because I knew I needed engine services and did not have the money right away. I did not want to pay the full coverage on my car if it was going to be in the shop for a while. I never spoke to the mechanic or the towing company regarding removal of my car. When the officer notified him in March regarding my car, he said he moved my car because I did not pay for the work he performed. Now he is insisting I wanted to commit insurance fraud. Overall, I do not have my car and like I said to him, all I want is my car returned to me. There is absolutely now way I took my car to his shop in October. I spoke with two officers; in March as well as September. One of the officers told me he is known for scrapping cars. I became irate at the thought that he would do such a thing to my car because I have been a loyal customer to him. He removed my car off of his property without my acknowledge. He also thought it funny which really made me angry. I feel like he saw an opportunity and took advantage of me. I would like my car returned to me please. For four months, he continued to insist he was in the hospital and was not able to contact me regarding my car. He never would return my phone calls. I had to call from other numbers in order to contact him. He would hang up which caused me to start randomly showing up at his shop inquiring about my car.
