I have reviewed our files, which indicate that Mr*** was contacted by a rep from our sales division and agreed to purchase this magazine service on February 18, The details of this subscription agreement were presented at length both verbally and in writingMr*** was given many
opportunities during the sales and tape recorded verification process to ask questions or decline serviceInstead , he agreed to the materials terms and conditions which included completing all of the payments as provided by the subscription agreementWith Mr***'s continued acceptance, his final service agreement confirmation letter was sent the following dayThe letter restated the magazine titles, the number of the issues for each magazine, his monthly payment plan, and the total sales priceOur records further indicate that we have active and constructive dialogue with Mr***; however it wasn't until February 22, were we made aware of his desire to cancelThe following is a summary of the conversations between our office and Mr*** taken directly from his accountOn October 2013, Mr*** called customer service with concerns pertaining to making his monthly payments due to financial constraintsOur CSR offered to make adjustments to his account to lower his monthly payment overall cost of serviceMr*** provided his new credit card information when he was contacted by our billing department and brought his account currentOn April 1, Mr*** made payment arrangements with our billing departmentOn January 26, 2016, Mr*** was contacted by our billing department , but he said he was busy and could not discuss the account at that timeOn February 16, Mr*** requested to be billed directly and an invoice was sent to him the following dayOn January 22, a woman got on the phone when we were discussing Mr***'s account with him and she said she had filed a complaint because we would not let him cancel his serviceWhen our rep was explaining that we were not aware of the fact that Mr*** wanted to discontinue his service, she ended the call abruptlyMr***'s account was canceled that dayBe assured that Mr***'s American Magazine Group account reference number *** was canceled on February 22, as requestedThe remaining balance has be relinquished therefore Mr*** has no further financial obligation and will not contact him again

I was never given the opportunity to cancel. I had called them on many occasions and requested this mailing be stopped. When I spoke to a representative from the magazine company, they told me that I could not cancel because they had already paid for the magazines. In response to their accusation, I never told them the reason for the cancellation was because of financial constraints. On my last conversation to the magazine company, I asked a male representative if he was from American Magazine and he said no. Then I asked again are you from American Magazine Group and his response was yes. With an attitude he said we are not American Magazine. At this time, we are investigating a charge from my bank account that we believe is the magazine company. When the bank calls me back and confirms my suspicion, we will file a law suit. The magazine company never had permission to take money from my new bank account
