The contractor left the site before all shingkes were installed....roof incompleteExposed sections to elementsI phoned three times and got no one to return to finish the jobHave been waiting days for someone to return There is less than one hour of work remaining....just about lineal feet of capping to do !
Great Canadian Roofing corporation installed our roofing for us The roofing itself looks like it was done wellWe were pretty happy with Great Canadian Roofing until we talked to our neighbour who had told us that she had seen one of the workers urinating on the side of our houseThe project had just finished the day our neighbour informed us about the urination incident and when we had informed Great Canadian Roofing about this we were brushed off It did not feel like our concerns where addressed and I was left with a urine stain on the side of my house despite trying to clean the spot When we were thinking about replacing our siding and windows we thought we would give the company another try as we were pretty satisfied with the roofing job with the exception of the urine stain When the estimator came to to measure our house for the estimate he talked to me for a grand total of minutes and at the time I thought this was pretty standard as he was the first company to schedule an appointment with me After contact with other companies I realized that there is a lot more that goes into picking a window (double pain vstriple pain, whether I would like to have a sliding or crank window etc.) and siding (collar, style, insulation, etc) I still was hoping to get a quote from them just to see if they were competitive and after not hearing from them after weeks I decided to call them to see why it was taking so long The front staff assured me they would contact our estimator and he would call us back the following week I had then waited the week and still did not hear back from the estimatorI tried calling the company again and again the front staff assured me that they would have him contact me back At that point I was frustrated and had asked them to not bother as I should not be working this hard to get an estimate or an explanation as to why it is taking so long when all the other companies I had contacted got back to me within a week of my appointment At this point I had thought my interaction with the company was over until I received an e-mail from them with a quote almost three months after my initial appointment with the estimator The lack of communication and customer service have soured me on using Great Canadian again or referring them to friends and family At first I was impressed with this company but after the urinating incident I have definitely had a change of heart with Great Canadian RoofingTheir only redeeming quality was they where very competitive with their pricing for doing our roof With siding and windows though they are no where near any of the the other companies I was in contact with
