[Your Answer Here]
The vendor's response is unsatisfactory, appears to be a form letter, makes additional preposterous claims and addresses none of my concerns or questions. The vaguely stated "canceled" addresses neither the fraudulent outstanding billing balance nor the harassing threat of "collections".A review of my archived email yields no results from the vendor or its affiliated brands over the time period in question. The additional vague claim of a completed, multi-form enrollment path was not substantiated by an IP address, screen captures, field values entered or any other supporting evidence. The hostile response from the firm makes me even more concerned that they may not have adequate controls in place to prevent incidental or widespread mail fraud from their subsidiaries or agency partners. I believe their acquisition strategy may be deceptive. The apparently promotion copy of Men's Health magazine that I received was discarded in my building's mailroom, since I neither ordered it nor wanted it.Regardless, the firm goes out of its way to prevent consumers from easily contacting them, does not use consumer-friendly billing practices and ironically responds with indignant hostility when a consumer attempts to correct the firm's billing error.I want to receive a confirmation that the balanced owed is zero dollars, that the firm's harassing collections threat has been removed and that the firm will cease contacting me.I believe that firm's behavior and practices warrant government scrutiny.

I have reviewed the response and we stand by our initial response which details the facts of his transaction with us on the subscription. In short, he responded to an e-mail offer, confirmed acceptance of the offer and chose the billing option. We billed, and never received a payment, or any customer service contact even though he had our address right on the invoice copy he provided and our 800 number readily available. If he had, the order would have been canceled at that time. We do not send sample magazines and bill for a subscription unless we have a firm, confirmed order from the subscriber regardless of what he thinks. unfortunately, nothing I write here right now will convince him otherwise.I can state again that his order was canceled, he owes us nothing and if any invoices cross in the mail from us or any other party concerning this subscription they can be ignored.

Review: Hello. I have recently been the target of a mail fraud scam perpetrated by individuals in my family. They have relentless ordered magazine subscriptions in my name which I do not desire and have caused a huge mess for me. I am an elderly woman on social security and, while the idea of getting into Kate Hudson's shape is appealing to me, I do not have the ability nor finances to make such a thing happen. I would like to be respectfully removed from any further mailings and apologize for the inconvenience of having to deal with such an issue. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I only wish to not receive any products form this retailer, as I have not ordered anything.

Business

Response:

Thank you for your notification. The order was placed using a order card in the magazine. We have canceled the order and put a block on your address so we cannot process any more magazine subscriptions for that address. You may receive one more copy in the mail, please discard it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Thank you so much for your help in this matter!

Sincerely,

Review: I paid and registered to receive a monthly delivery from Jacked in a Box along with a free subscription to Muscle and Fitness. I received one month of the supplement shipment and then moved to Oregon. I have been in communication with them in the past and they were going to update my mailing address. Two months later and I still have not received anything.Desired Settlement: This was over $100 dollars for the year's worth of sampling. Would like my money credited back to the credit card I used.

Business

Response:

Our company has contacted the customer and determined his address was never changed in our records. They have made the change and have worked the situation out with him. The first issue of his subscription is the Nov ** issue mailed mid October.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is my second complaint to the Revdex.com with Muscle and Fitness for the same issue. I agreed for the issue to be resolved following the first investigation but nothing was done so here we go again. I subscribed to a year's worth of Jacked-In-A-Box supplements while living in [redacted]. Since moving to my new address in Portland in August I have tried the following measures to get the monthly product shipped to my new address. *E-mailed company *Changed address on Muscle and Fitness Site*Filed Revdex.com complaint I was told this issue would be resolved over a month ago but still I have not received anything. I have received multiple communications from staff at Muscle and Fitness where one individual will state the issue has been resolved and then someone else will direct me to contact shipping. I would like a full refund to my credit card for the amount of a yearly subscription to Jacked-In-A-Box. This was over a 100 dollars when I initially signed up in May/June of 2013. Thank you, [redacted]

Sincerely,

Hello,

Review: On July **, 2013, I ordered a gift subscription to Shape Magazine for [redacted] of [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]. On September **, 2013, I contacted Shape Magazine Customer Service via email to report that no issues had been received and ask when [redacted] would receive her first issue. On September **, 2013, I received a response from [redacted]. that the order had been received and service would start with the FEBRUARY, 2014 issue! "All gifts that are entered after a certain date of the year, unless otherwise requested at the time of ordering, will start with the first issue of the new year. " I re-checked the gift order page and there is NO mention that an order after any date would result in a SEVEN MONTH lag! I have emailed Customer Service back to request that this gift be started with the next issue and have gotten no reply. My Case ID number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: Start [redacted]'s subscription with the next issue. If as stated "unless otherwise requested at time of ordering," and this policy is nowhere shown on the order page, I believe my request to start this subscription immediately should be honored.

Sincerely,

Review: American Media (dba Men's Fitness Magazine, [redacted]; [redacted]) has repeatedly invoiced me for a 10-issue magazine subscription that I did not order. I am concerned that they appear to be sending me, and perhaps many other consumers, the unrequested magazine Men's Fitness with the intention of later invoicing for the unauthorized service. They have subsequently threatened me with collections for the service that I did not request. Their invoices do not provide an invoice number, a statement number, an account number or a telephone or email contact. From the available information, I am concerned that this could be a fraudulent marketing and billing scheme. The firm appears to have subscribed me to a different magazine after a valid prepaid subscription with one of their sister publications expired (and it specifically did not have a renewal option). Since the firm does not provide standard contact information for resolution, I intend to also file complaints with New York State Attorney General [redacted] , the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).Desired Settlement: 1) A written statement from the firm that the fraudulent $19.97 false subscription balance has been reduced to zero; 2) A written statement from the firm that the threat to send me to collections for a fraudulent $19.97 false subscription has been lifted; 3) A written apology from the firm for what appear to be either deliberately deceptive or functionally inept marketing and billing practices; and 4) A written statement from the firm that it will cease all contact with me, including any future fraudulent billing.

Review: I received the Shape Magazine in October 2015. I didn't order or want the magazine. I sent an email to the Editor stating the above and told her I would not be responsible for paying for the magazine since I didn't order. I asked for a reply to my email. I didnt receive a reply. Today I received another issue of Shape. I sent another email to the Editor. I put a notification on [redacted] stating the above and I am sending a complaint to you regard this matter. Can you advise me of what other actions I need to take so that I can be sure they don't try to make me pay for something I didn't order. ThanksDesired Settlement: Stop sending the magazine and contact me stating that I will not be responsible for any issue received!

Review: I purchased a 3 year subscription to soap opera digest in 2012 which would expire in .July, 2015. The company stopped sending the magazines stating I owe another month payment. I have a copy of my cancelled check.Desired Settlement: If a refund is not possible have the magazines continue and have the back issues sent. Thank you

Business

Response:

The 3 year subscription you purchased from a magazine sales agent was placed on 3/*/2011 not in 2012, That subscription expired. A one year renewal was placed on 12/**/13 for $54.97 using installment billing. That order was not paid for in our system. That order was canceled on 4/**/14 due to non-payment. If you have proof of payment for that order, then please send it to us. In the mean time, I will enter a 26 issue subscription at no cost so you can start receiving the title again. Please allow 4 weeks to start.

Review: On Saturday ** 2015 My wife collected the mail and within the mail was a "Market Development Courtesy" to Purchase issues of the [redacted] magazine. What really bothers me is the fact that these degenerates have my address and full name? How in the world they got this information and how in the world they believed that I was going to buy this garbage. The fact that there's no contact number listed, only a P.O. box, tells me they are very aware that their garbage is going to reach the wrong target like myself. Be advised that I will seek legal counsel to suit [redacted] if I continue get more of this unwanted garbage.

The Solicitor name is "Market development Courtesy" [redacted]Desired Settlement: I hope not to receive any of he aforementioned garbage from "Market Development Courtesy" which is soliciting on behalf of [redacted].

Thank you.
