[redacted] Date of Loss: April 7, 2016 Dear [redacted]: This letter acknowledges receipt of the complaint that was filed against American Millennium Insurance Company in regard to the above captioned matter. American Millennium Insurance Company received notice of the above claim on April 9, 2016. This claim was reported by our insured without the police report or [redacted] information. In this complaint, [redacted] expresses his frustration trying to contact us regarding his claim. Upon investigating [redacted] concerns, we discovered that he had been calling our after hours reporting service and not our claims office. Additionally, his carrier [redacted] did not realize they were calling the wrong number when they attempted to reach out on his behalf. Unfortunately, neither [redacted] nor [redacted] utilized our website which provides the contact information for all of our adjusters and multiple means to contact us. Based upon this unfortunate incident, we reached out to our after hours service and enhanced the communication protocols for when they receive an inquiry other than a first notice of loss. Going forward, the service will immediately contact our Claims Manager with all customer concerns if they are inadvertedly contacted. We apologize for the miscommunication and appreciate the opportunity to enhance our internal processes. As far as [redacted] claim is concerned, our adjuster immediately contacted him after receving your letter. We set up a rush inspection of his vehicle and determined it is a total loss the next day. A copy of the valuation report and a release have been sent to [redacted]. We will issue payment immediately upon receipt of the executed release.
