American Money Loan Services, Inc. Reviews (11)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
*** ***

This issue has NOT been resolved. Mr*** has told me several times that he is taking care of this, getting clarification of what they owe us, etcand he doesn't do anything. Two days ago he said a check had been emailed to his local agent to deposit in our account - never happened. Then he said it would definitely be deposited the next day - again nothing. And now he won't return calls or texts again. In their previous response they said they were waiting for instructions from our previous legal counsel. The truth is our counsel sent them a letter in November concerning this matter and they never even responded to it. Mr*** has confirmed that the purchaser of our property has made every payment on time to them, but they have not paid us. At the current time American Money Loan Services owes us for six months of payments for a total of $3,757.98. Their local agent will not return calls. Their chief financial officer has never returned a call despite several messages left for her over the last month

Mr*** concerns are very important to usHe had earlier voiced them to MrVanderlaan who forwarded them to the appropriate team memberI am please to report that the check that remained un-reconciled has been replacedAs a courtesy we have also issued an additional $check to
cover a fee charged to the client by his bankBoth checks were sent to the client's bank for depositThey represent all funds collected to date on behalf of the clientWe'll work very hard to be sure Mr*** receives services that exceed his expections
Sincerely,
*** ***, Service Manager

AMLS Inchas received confirmation from the complainant that he has, in fact, received all funds referred to in his original complaintWe therefore consider the complaint satisfied and closed

I am rejecting this response because: yes it say that but we were paying an extra a month to cover the taxes and insurance if the pay the insurance to get it started again then I will drop this matter

In response please note Mr. [redacted] does not directly handle this account. We have serviced this contract since July, 2009 and been directed by the seller to change the way he receives funds on multiple occasions and have always accommodated his needs. Our last directions were to mail...

payments to the adult care facility where the client was being cared for. About the time Mr. [redacted] indicates he became executor those check started to be returned undeliverable. We later learned that our client had been moved from the facility but we had not been alerted. After being informed of the move and reason for the returned mail we were working to reconcile any payments not negotiated by the clients through our banks when Mr. [redacted] retained counsel. In all such situations we communicate through counsel only. We have been waiting for instruction from counsel only to find today that Mr. [redacted] has switched to different counsel. We're confident this is a simple communication failure which will be resolved shortly as our respective representatives work out the details for payment delivery.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I checked with the bank yesterday, the $408.95 late payment (reconciled payment from 2013) was not deposited neither was the $8. American Money was incorrect when they sent a response to Revdex.com.
Regards,
[redacted]

This complaint is completely without merit and is an attempt. The facts are as follows:
1. The complainant purchased a home on a [redacted] contract from a reputable [redacted] in the State of [redacted].
2. The [redacted] assigned the management of this contract to American...

Money Loan Services, Inc. as they do with ALL of their [redacted] contract sales.
3. The [redacted] contract and purchase agreement called for the complainant to have purchased and paid for a year of hazard insurance prior to closing and to impound for next year's insurance renewal.
4. The complainant did not pay a year's premium on his policy. It was later learned when he came back demanding American Money Loan Services, Inc. make monthly payments on the policy that he instead paid only two months premium to start the policy. It was explained again this was not an option and a violation of the written agreements between the [redacted] and the complainant.
5. In [redacted] tax bills are routinely mailed to the owner of record for informational purposes even if taxes are impounded by the lender.
6. As with ALL [redacted] files impounds collected with payments are paid to the [redacted] on a monthly basis and no monies are held by American Money Loan Services, Inc.
7. The complainant filed for Chapter 13 protection only after his default on the land contract (because his checks were bouncing) caused the [redacted] to file a forfeiture proceeding in 60th District Court against him.
We assume out of panic this complainant is engaged in a slanderous campaign and is scrambling in hopes of finding a way out of his situation. There is no merit to these claims and the United States Bankruptcy court will affirm our statements of fact listed above.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: yes we did file bankruptcy because of other issues we told [redacted] thatwe were gonna have problems with a payment. Also at closing we were never told to pay a year of insurance we were told to start it and they would pay for it from there and when we talk to him again we told him we could not pay for a year of insurance and we would have to start. He did the same thing with another house that we were buying and we have a witness that he did it to someone else.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear Sirs:
In reply to the client's generic rejection of our very detailed response to the original concerns we submit the following for your review.
1. A copy of the [redacted] contract clearly stating in paragraph 6 that the buyer shall purchase and keep in force fire and hazard insurance. The same contract outlines in paragraph 8 what remedies are available for the seller in the event the buyer does not insure the property.
2. A copy of the contract management agreement, signed and acknowledged by both the buyer (complainant) and the seller, which clearly shows on page 2 in the section title "Disbursement of Funds" that 100% of the payment is paid to the seller ([redacted] bank) and that the only withholding is the fee paid by the seller to American Money Loan Services, Inc.
Please note that American Money Loan Services, Inc. has performed it's contracted duty as instructed and required. The complainant's claim is without merit.

I filed a previous complaint on March 13, 2014 against American Money Loan Services and President Tom Vanderlaan. My father (I have POA) sold a house on a land contract. American Money was contracted to receive payments from the purchaser and then to pay my father. In August my father moved from one assisted living facility to another. Consequently the check sent in the mail for August was returned to American Money. American Money made no effort to obtain a forwarding address, they simply kept all future checks. In November 2013 I contacted Mr. [redacted] and told him we had not received the previous 4 payments. He assured me he would look into it and get back to me but never did. On November 27, 2013, our attorney sent American Money a letter terminating our services and demanding an accounting. American Money never responded to the attorney.March 11-12, 2014 I made several phone calls to American Money, left messages, and got no reply. On March 13, after Mr. [redacted] received my Revdex.com complaint, he finally answered my call. He promised me the check would be in the mail the next day. It is now over 3 weeks later and it never came. Yet he still insists it was mailed.March 27 he said he would send an e-check to a representative in our area for the full amount due and that she would deposit it into my father's account. At that time he owed us just over $5,000.00. The e-check he sent was only for a little over $1,252.00 - only 25% of what he owed. After many more phone calls and what I feel are repeated lies and empty promises, he sent another $626.00. After calling him he said he actually did not know how much he owed us despite the fact that I had told him several times. Two days ago he promised to finalize this and call me the next morning. He didn't call and now will not answer his phone, nor will anyone else in his organization.
I would like immediate full payment of all monies due to date.
