Review: American Moving said that they are bonded and insured. However on May 1st 2015 I had them move my packed up home from one location in Post Falls, Idaho to another local home. What I got was two inexperienced young men that did some damage to my things. The main damage was to my nice washer and dryer set. They did not put packing material between their dolly and both of my machines and I now have nasty scratches on the sides of each. Their carelessness has greatly devalued the $1800.00 set. Due to not using them for the first 2 weeks, I never noticed the damage until I got them hooked up. Now the company is insinuating that we have done the damage ourselves and are not wanting to get this matter settled. They are willing to come out and "paint out the scratches" but the damage is done if I choose to sell the set. We are very dissatisfied with American Moving.They did not fill the truck correctly so that I ended up with 2 half loads instead of one load,they were late coming to my home and then took their time moving us to a cost of over $600 plus and all my stuff was already in boxes in the garage! They only had to move mattresses with no frames, washer and dryer and a kitchen table with 6 chairs. And only moved about 3 miles from my old home.

These people were called over and over countless times. We were promised a receipt for our taxes and could not even get that from them. My husband even went to their store. NOTHING. No response at all from this company. No wonder their reviews were so bad. Wish that we had looked them up first before hiring them. Never again!Desired Settlement: I want my receipt and an apology from this company and be done with them.

Review: The movers dropped my $2,000 washer. I saw it happen. The other mover asked if I saw. Washer damaged. Gave no receipt after repeated requested. Same mover that dropped machine came with a $30 replacement and would not tell me where the were taking my washer. I refused to let them take it. Still no receipt. Called [redacted] several times. Still no receipt or resolve. Decided to call Revdex.com for help and [redacted] threatened to come to my house and beat up my husband calling him a f-in punk. Made police report. [redacted] estimated the damage, broken housing dispenser, cracked pump, cosmetic damage. So far repairs $372.70. Thank s American Movers to being my worst nightmare.Recommendations-stay very far away if you value your belongings.Desired Settlement: Replace my washer with a new one of the same make & model.
