I received my device through the emergency room and thank goodness I had dual insurance. A simple arm splint was billed at $265 (can be purchased at a store for less $100). After insurance knocked down the price and paid their portion, I still had $74 to pay. I could not communicate with the company at their provided contact numbers as the VM was always full; if I was able to leave a message no one would call back. If a patient is cash pay, do not accept devices from the ED as no one will negotiate the outrageous fees on your behalf and the company does not answer or return calls.
