Refusing to deliver Otanks due to wanted documents filled out by her doctor and because the appointment date is in Feb and they needed the paperwork before 2/*/they refuse to send the Otanks until they receive their paperwork Continuous messages left before you get a reply, everything goes thru VM Employees are not professional

Although this company's employees are politeIt is difficult to get them to answer the phone Unless you are a hospital or physician you are placed on hold with the repeated message "they are experiencing a high volume of calls and you can leave a message and they will call you back"If you don't leave a message the call is disconnected after ten minutes Below are some reason you should never use this company*They will only deliver oxygen to a residence once per month We had to go to the office and pickup and return the oxygen tanks*They are only opened from 9:00-5:*They are not opened on weekends*They don't care if you run out of portable oxygen bottles, if it's not a scheduled delivery too badAfter a recent power outage we used all the large portable tanksWe called for a delivery and were told the earliest they could deliver new tanks was days laterThe final heartache was when my mother was placed on hospiceWe had to switch to a new oxygen company through hospice and schedule American Oxygen to pickup their equipmentThey were aware it was an elderly patient, they gave us a pickup time and emphasized someone needed to be available to sign for the returnThey arrived over an hour early and my mother was forced to deal with the return aloneWhile this may not seem like much keep in mind is she is on oxygen barely able to walk and when I arrived was very out of breath In conclusion while none of these reason may be so bad singularly, they are not a company worth dealing withThe only reason we did not switch was it was difficult with the insurance to replace them and my Mom was concerned that a new company wouldn't be any betterMy recommendation is run to a new companyWhile these complaints may not seem so serious I can only assure you this is Not a Company You Should Use!!!!

CLIENTS COVERAGE FOR THE OXYGEN HAD ENEDED WE HAD STARTED CONTACTED THE CLIENT AND HER DAUGHTERS ACCORDING TO OUR DOCUMENTED NOTES (WHICH CANNOT BE ALTERED) AS OF WITH THE CLIENTS DAUGHTER AND SENT ALL NEEDED DOCUMENTS FOR CONTINUED COVERAGE TO DRR***S OFFICE (DR INFO GIVEN TO US BY DAUGHTER)WE THEN LEFT ANOTHER MESSAGE ON AFTER NOT HEARING BACK FROM THE DOCTORS OFFICEKEEPING IN COMMUNICATION WITH THE DAUGHTER SINCE THE CLIENT WAS STILL GETTING SERVICE ON HER OXYGEN AT THAT TIME SHE WAS STILL MADE AWARE ON WHAT WAS NEEDED AND THAT WE DID NOT GET IT YETFINALLY AS OF WE AGAIN REFAXED THE DOCUMENTS OVER TO THE DR OFFICETHEN SPOKE WTIH THE DAUGHTER AGAIN ON STATING THAT AT THIS TIME SINCE IT HAS BEEN SINCE JULY IF WE DO NOT GET THE DOCUMENTS NEEDED BY FEB * WE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO SERVICE HER SINCE SHE HAS NOT BEEN COVERED FOR THE EQUIPMENTCLIENT DAUGHTER CALLED AGAIN ON SHE CALLED US BACK AND SPOKE WTIH REP CURSING AND THREATENING BEING RUDE AND CLAIMING SHE DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WE WOULDNT SERVICE THE CLIENT, THE COMPANY DECIDED AT THIS POINT BECAUSE SHE WAS CURSING SHE THREATENING OUR REPS ON THE PHONE WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SERVICE HERLATER THAT DAY SHE WROTE AN EMAIL TO THE COMPANY LYING, STATING "Your company is refusing to send my mom refills on her OI have been calling the office from last month to inform your company that my mom would see her pulmonary doctor in February and could not get an appointment soonerNo one has returned my call since mid january, today I'm told that she would not receive her delivery untill american ogets there paper workPlease contact me at [redacted] ***" SHE IS LYING WHEN SAYING NO ONE HAS CALLED HER SINCE JAN AND THAT IS THE FIRST SHE IS HEARING ABOUT THISALSO WE HAVE BEEN CONTACTING HER SINCE JULY OF WHEN SHE APPARTENTLY HAD A DOCTORS VISIT BEFORE AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT UNTIL FEBTHIS MADE NO SENSEWE CONTACTED MEDICARE AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND THEY STATED THAT IN THIS CASE DO NOT CONTACT THE CLIENT OR DAUGHTER BACK SINCE SHE IS THREATENING AND CURSING NOT WILLING TO MOVE FORWARD, AND THAT CLIENT WILL FIND ANOTHER VENDORTHEN WE GET ANOTHER EMAIL FROM CLIENT REGARDING HER COMPLAINT TO MEDICARE AND HOW OUR SERVICE IS TERRIBLEWE HAD GIVEN THE CLIENT, HER DAUGHTER AND THE DOCTORS MONTHS OF SERVICE AT NO CHARGE TO GET US SIMPLE FORMS FILLED OUT AND SIGNED AND FAXED BACK TO US SO CLIENT WOULD HAVE COVERAGE FOR HER OXYGEN AND SERVICE

Since 0518, I've had the Inogen G 4 Unit; [redacted] . I've used this portable oxygen unit approximately five or six times. Before using I always charge it to 100% capacity, however, within twenty to twenty five minutes of slow walking, the unit reads 26-29% oxygen remains. I called the American Oxygen Co. @ ###-###-#### and spoke with a gentleman named Andre. I explained my issue and was told something was wrong with my unit and I would be shipped a new one when they were back in stock. On 0818, I called to find out the status and spoke with a man named Leslie. He proceeded to tell me the notes left by Andre weren't clear and there was nothing wrong with my unit. He reiterated several times that " I should NOT believe everything written in the brochure, no battery last up to 2.7 hours" ! "What is advertised is NOT how the unit performs". (The information brochure states the duration for a single battery is 2.7 hours ) I was taken back by his rude speech and was

My husband has had oxygen from this company for over a yearWhen we started with them it was with our own insurance (GHI)Last August he went on MedicareAny time you have to reach them no one answers a phone and you wait for a return callI received a bill from them last week and tried calling them, but as usual no one answers you have to leave messagesI was very upset because in hand writing at the bottom they said if I did pay the bill in days it was going to collections and they would be taking back the equipment which is oxygen for my husbandI have never been contacted about this payment beforeThey also told me to call Medicare and supplied a wrong numberAs it turns out this bill is from June **, 2015, months agoMy husband wasn't even on Medicare then! I have a portable INOGEN ONE oxygen unit After charging the unit to 100% capacity, within minutes of using the unit on a number setting, the battery is down to 33-35% I have received three batteries, all of which are refurbished Recently, after receiving the battery and charging the unit to 100% the unit didn't work I changed the nasal cannula tubing hoping that would help I called the company and asked them to replace the unit with a brand new one I was told "ALL our units and batteries are refurbished, we do not have new units" My insurance company is billed each month in addition to me being billed $monthly for a unit and battery that don't work properly

This company has not provided my mother with oxygen for over weeks Her health is in danger When we call the office the workers are extremely rude and unprofessional

Although this company's employees are polite. It is difficult to get them to answer the phone. Unless you are a hospital or physician you are placed on hold with the repeated message "they are experiencing a high volume of calls and you can leave a message and they will call you back". If you don't leave a message the call is disconnected after ten minutes. Below are some reason you should never use this company.

The only reason we did not switch was it was difficult with the insurance to replace them and my Mom was concerned that a new company wouldn't be any better. My recommendation is run to a new company.

Review: Dear Sir or Madam:This company provided at-home oxygen services for my father. My father, [redacted], passed away on November *, 2014. I have tried to contact this company over 10 times to advise them that the machine needs to be picked up. American Oxygen Co. continues to bill Medicare and myself if the equipment is not returned. No one picks up the phone unless you choose the option of being a healthcare provider. I did get through one time to an "[redacted]." She refused to listen to me because I was not a healthcare provider and transferred to me to another section of the company. She was extremely rude. These folks are supposed to be in the healthcare industry and the word "care" has no meaning to them. Since November *, I have left 4 messages and have attempted to call over 20 times -- as of this writing, no reply. I want my father's oxygen's tank picked up and further, they need to close his account. Anything you can do to assist would be greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: I want them to call me to pick up the oxygen machine.
