At this time, I have been contacted directly by American Plaza Corp. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved...

because:
I had to contact company and I visited company with landlord who I rented from. They was closed and we had correspondence through window. They would not open door. I showed up the following day and walked in by myself without landlord because she had to work. We called landlord on the phone and had a discussion about the one week rent due to landlord. Spanish was being spoken and translated back to me in what the landlord was saying. I now believe I was being scamed by the landlord I was told she was telling the company I did not pay her for two weeks and that was not true. She told the police I was paid up for three weeks and only owed a week. The company had that week in which I belive she had to let them keep it as a fee for them sending me to her as a renter. I asked the company if the landlord pay them anything for sending me to them and they said yes. They have a contract with the lanlord that they cannot discuss with me. The landlord said I could finish out my week and leave and she did not kick me out. The issue that has not been resolved here is the eay the business is being run with the landlord and company not doing business fairly and made me feel like I was going to be frauded out of $150. I stood my ground that I knew I did not owe the last week. What about people who would fall for the pressure they put on me. Is there anyway to make them accountable for this type of business practice?

Review: I signed a contract to give them $150 as a service fee to find me a room for rent. I asked the woman to send me to apartments within certain parameters and she could not meet the requirements. The contract states there will a refund of $150 (deposit) if no apartment is found. When I requested my refund, I was not given it back, and given false reasons as to why they were keeping it. When I further pressed as to why they were withholding my refund, the police were called (unreasonably) and left (with nothing being resolved), they continued to harass me.Desired Settlement: I desire an apology, a refund, and a city review of their business practices.

Review: business refers clients to rooms for rent by the week or month, they ask for a deposit, that is refundable, if no room is rented by client.

They promise "unlimited addresses will be provided on a separate sheet. One or two at a time"

On Feb *, 2015 I signed their contract and pay my $200 deposit in cash, I receive my 2 addresses and my receipt for payment.

The 1st room I went to see was a truly dark and horrible small room, smelly and damp. I ran out quickly and knew at that point what I got myself into.

Fortunately I found an apartment through a friend of mine and signed the lease the very next day!

By the time I finished moving and settling in, about a month later, I contacted the business and they told me to call back later that week when the person, who handles the refunding, was in the office.

The owner or manager of this business named [redacted], clearly sounded annoyed and hung up before I could ask any other questions. Several calls later (same rude response) I finally found time to go to the business in person, only to find out after having to wait for an hour, that I came too late, the person handling the refunding apparently leaves at 5pm (which was never mentioned before)

[redacted] looked at my receipts and made a copy of it, when I asked her if this would be the application for the refund, she says no, I'd have to come back to talk to that person directly (her desk was right next to [redacted]'s). Then I could file the application and then I would have to come back a day later to pick up the refund!

When I finally came back one afternoon before 5pm, there was a lot of commotion with several clients loudly complaining about various issues, mostly in regards to getting the run around for their refund. I tried to talk to the person in charge of the refunding, but [redacted] rudely interrupted any attempt and claimed that I came by but had no receipt (she had made a copy of it!) and later she started claiming that I'm not entitled to a refund because I had rented that 1st room I went see... At that point I saw other option than to call the police!

They came and told me that this is well known scam business preying on customers that are often in a bind to quickly rent a room before becoming homeless... They advice me to contact the Revdex.com and file a complaint, but not deal with this shady business directly anymore.Desired Settlement: they need to quickly pay me back my REFUNDABLE deposit of $200

Review: I spoke to an employee regarding renting a room. She stated if I do not receive a key, I am given a full

Refund. I then looked over the contract,And it stated "If the customer does not receiveThe key they are to be given a refund for not providing the service. There was another contract I looked over and it stated, fee is non refundable, after 15 days if service is not provided. I went to claim my refund due to unforeseen circumstances and I was unable move. She then proceeded to tell me that the contract is nonrefundable, and I am to be given half of my money. I then began to explain to the employee the contract clearly states, "non refundable after 15 days of purchase. I went the next day to claim my money, so I clearly obeyed my side of the contract. I also did not sign the entire contract.Desired Settlement: refund

Review: On Monday 10/*/13 I paid American Plaza Corp $325 for their services with renting a room. I paid to money to employee [redacted], and was sent over to work with employee [redacted]. [redacted] agreed to send me to two different available rooms that would accept my son and myself. The first address was [redacted], telephone number ###-###-####. I was told by [redacted] to speak with [redacted]. I called the number and it was disconnected, and knocked on the door and the apartment owner stated they were not renting any rooms and knew nothing of the company American Plaza Corp. The second address provided was [redacted], telephone number ###-###-####. I was told to speak with [redacted]. I called and spoke with [redacted] and met her in person and was told that the room available was for one person and they wanted a spanish speaking person. On Tuesday 10/*/13 I called and spoke with [redacted] to explained what happened and get new room information. [redacted] stated that she would pass the information on to [redacted] and have [redacted] call me back. I have called every day since 10/*/13 and it is now 10/**/13 to be told by [redacted] that I would receive a call back. I went in person to American Plaza Corp located at [redacted], telephone number ###-###-#### and ###-###-####. I entered an almost empty office (1 other client waiting their turn) to be told to have a seat. I watched [redacted] and [redacted] over 1 hour crossing things out on a paper and putting X marks on the paper before they called the first person that was waiting. When I finally spoke with both [redacted] and [redacted], I requesting a refund because services are not being provided, and no calls were returned in a 10 day period. [redacted] refunded $175, but refused to refund the rest of the money of $150. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed of the manager like person being [redacted]. I than asked to speak with the business owner and was told that it was not possible. I asked [redacted] if she could call the business owner from their office and [redacted] stated that she did not know the number. [redacted] than stated to call tomorrow 10/**/13 around 12pm and asked to speak with [redacted] who is part owner. I requested last names of all employees but was told that it could not be given and was threathened to have the police called against me and that I should leave.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a complete refund since this agency failed to provide the service of renting a room to me.

Review: I paid a rental agreement of 150.00 to look for a room to rent now I lost my contract and receipt and looked to aquire a copy of my agreement and Susie told me that they don't keep the agreement so how can a company not keep records I need my copy or my money back please assist me in this matterDesired Settlement: I would like for them to give me a copy of my receipt as well as provide adequate service that I paid for
