I spoke with Mike at American Power Moving Company regarding an estimate for a move from Philadelphia to OhioI gave Mike an ESTIMATE of the items of had in the houseMike gave me a price of for the move
On 03/**/17, Mike sent movers from his company in New York to Philadelphia to move us The movers arrived at 12:30pm with an extra small truck with graffiti on it, there were two men, but only one guy moving our belongingsThe other guy was not moving our stuff but instead was documenting everything we had, to charge us more money than estimated I, my mom and son had to help the movers move our belongings because we had to leave to catch our bus by 3:00pm and only one guy was moving everything which caused us to almost miss our bus to OhioAt the end of the truck loading, I paid the guy who documented everything 50% of the priceThe other guy who was moving our belongings approached me and was begging me to pay him a tip and give him foodHe stated that Mi

America Power Moving has the be one of the WORST moving companies that I've ever done business with moving interstateI see a lot of great comments for more local relocations and perhaps they should stick to local because their long distance hauling was a horrific experience
Initially, everything seems fine when we made arrangements with Alex and Mike to use this company to move us from NJ to GA; however, upon arrival everything changedThe movers attempted to inflate pre-confirmed prices even illegally adding additional prices to the contract AFTER we signed it
They did not keep their arranges with us on the delivery dateIt took us nearly a month to receive our itemsSpoke to Alex and he stated that they have days, though he promised us that our belongings would have been delivered the following week after pick up
Drivers were foreign and extremely smelly and rude -- they, too, tried to charge us for moving belongings up stairs when Alex originally knew we had stairs in our new homeThey just truly attempted to nickle and dime this move for all it was worth and I think it had a lot to do with two young professional women moving
They lost some of my belonging in transit, I notified Alex & Mike, they initially denied losing anything then later found my item; stated they would make arrangements to have it re-delivered at no chargeThere were no calls from them after that and Alex began ignoring my callsNever received anything indicating the day the items would be delivered; the drivers showed up at 11PM at night asking me "what's the big issue of them delivering that late"-- I made the is return in the daytime
Items were delivered completely damaged, scratched and broken-- Alex did not want to accept responsibility then later offered $$60!! for something 10x that price
Needless to say, I have file a claim with Revdex.comThese guys are crooks! Do yourself a favor and find another moving company, with integrity, if you're moving to another state

I wish I had the correct reviews of this company and *** *** *** prior to them moving my family treasures(furniture, china, furs, electronics.} I waited for additional months for my items to be delivered Major furniture antiques a sofa table that turns into a long dining table, a curio cabinet and several boxes of electronics that Alex packed himself These items have yet to be found I was called a liar when I reported the items missing The contract was breeched at the onset Far too much negative to list in this report In short, this company and *** *** *** who contracted American Power Moving to transport my items refuse to talk to me American Power Moving company driver Alex led me to believe that he owned the company after I had called him over the past THREE months to get my items Alex blocked my calls, then changed his numbers Then I finally got Mike aka, Manuk T***, the real owner of just President, on the phone after that number was disconnected Mike also blocked my calls so now after all this time no ONE at the two companies will take my calls This has been a nightmare for the last months dealing with these scam artists over my family heirlooms and items PLEASE folks do NOT deal with *** *** *** or American Power Moving They are frauds and scammers No real registered with national moving registration organizations would block a customer's call then change their phone numbers I beg you to RUN in the opposite direction when/if they contact you about a moving quote Next time I will pay more for a nationally recognized company for my moveI wish I could rate them a zero or negative star

It came out to cubic FeetOn the the of the move I showed up with my helper on a 20ft truckMy truck hold up to 1000cfBefore we started the job I told her that she has a lot more items that she listed and everything will not fit she personally told me to leave the sofa for last and if we didnt have space leave it behindShe even came outside with me to show where to put the couch But here is the thing she didnt know that I was Mike who made the reservation over the phoneSo once they took the cab and left she calls me next minut and complaints that my guys were bagging for tip amd food and that they couldnt fit her sofa in the truckAs I said it was me personally pciking ul her items I started laughing over the phone because it was funny how she was blaming everything on the movers and saying that I the company owner bagged her for tips and foodShe moved times more items than she originaly stated over the phone that changed her priceI have the contract with her signature I can send it when my driver gets backWe didnt brake anything during the moveBut she claims that couple of her items were brokenI advised her to file a claim at ***That is my current claim department

Was given a three to five day window for delivery, was not contacted by anyone from the company, and when I got in touch on day to inquire about delivery, was told it would be an additional 3-days

We paid $for a shuttle to move our belongings and they did not use the shuttle
We have had phone conversations about this and text messages to try and get this taken care of
We get voice mail when trying to call and sent a letter to the address on the website and it was returned

We hired American Power Moving to move our belongings half way across the country to our new home We have a number of complaints, described below, about their misrepresentation of cost and timing and the general non-responsiveness Our most pressing complaint right now is that the movers damaged or destroyed the majority of our furniture, and also caused damage to our home In addition to damaging our home and the majority of our furniture, the movers lost a necessary piece to our son's high chair, which they apparently disassembled at their warehouse, rendering it unusable Our contract provides that we should be reimbursed for these damages, but American Power will not respond to our emails or telephone calls It has now been two weeks since we first alerted them to the damage and asked for a claims form We have not received any communication in response to our phone calls and emails whatsoever
In addition, American Power charged us over 50% more than the initial binding

I used American Power Moving twice already, once for my house and once for my business. Mike and his crew are very professional, reliable and kind. The guys arrived 6 in the morning, very energetic and ready to work. The guys packed everything very carefully and I have a lot of fragile stuff for my business. The price was very affordable and the service was amazing.
