I am rejecting this response because:This is gone beyond their recent "story" regarding the metal order.  It is just one more excuse added to the many previous excuses this man has given us.  [redacted]'s communication with us is poor at best.  He cherry picks responses to our inquires, and is extremely vague with timelines.  He has promised at least three times this build would be completed, only to run into problem after problem on his end.  The crew that did our framing quit, they state due to multiple non payments for their work by Mr. [redacted].  This crew framed out the building (June 26-29 2017), except for entry doors and windows, but could not build the dormers, even though Mr. [redacted] assured us they were able to do so.  We had the dormers built in order to avoid yet another delay.  We notified Mr. [redacted] once the dormer were finished, two days later, (7-2-17) so he was fully aware and could have measured and ordered the metal at that time.  Mr. [redacted] and the foreman on the new crew, Mr. [redacted], the metal was order the afternoon of 7-10-17.  Mr. [redacted] stated to us the metal should be complete by 7-13-17 or 7-14-17 and assured our building would be completed the week of July 17, 2017.  Mr. [redacted] informed us it took 4-7 working days to have the metal completed.  Today is day seven, but yesterday (7-18-17) Mr. [redacted] emailed us and stated the metal will be ready for pick up on 7-20-17, but did not indicate whether Mr. [redacted] and crew would be delivering the metal and completing the build on this day, yet another vague response.  My husband followed up with an email requesting the metal be delivered on this day with or without the crew.  No response from Mr. [redacted] to date.  In our opinion, all these delays over the last three going on four months, have been due to Mr. [redacted]'s inability to be an effective general contractor.  In addition, the previous foreman of the framing crew, [redacted], contacted us on two occasions asking us if we would pay he and his crew for the framing work since he had not been paid from American Pride Buildings.  During this conversation, he also brought up placing a mechanics lean on our home. I informed [redacted] we empathized with his situation, but signed a contract with APB and could not pay him directly.  This issue of payment from company to subcontractor should be behind the scenes and not a concern of the homeowner.  At this time our expectations from APB and Mr. [redacted] are deliver the metal by tomorrow, July 20, 2017 with crew to complete the build, or refund us the money paid in advance minus materials on property.  We would also like to see detailed copies of receipts to make sure the refund is accurate.
