I had asked Protect America not once, not twice but several times, to come resolve an issue I was having with my alarm system. My control panel was not connecting to their monitoring center. Therefore my alarm system would not notify them if anyone broke into my house.
Their Solution: They sent out another control panel an told me to exchange it.
I did exchange it and still had the same problem. I contacted them again and told them the new control panel did not connect to their monitoring center. I requested for them to send a technician to fix the problem.
Their response was: No.
Called them again to resolve the same problem and still the answer was no.
So I stopped payment through my USAA Checkings account. I am not going to be paying for a burglary monitoring service that was not being provided.
Protect America sent my account to a collections agency and instead of paying $320.00 that they were charging me for service not provided, I resolved this matter by paying $159.00.
Protect America did not provide me with the service they promised but they sent my account to collections which I think was unfair because I tried working with them to resolve the issue, they refused to help.
