AQC did start project Sept. 19th . We started our prep work and formed job for a pour on the next day. The next day we poured job and as...
we were striping forms we noticed screws missing that we installed on the forms. We the finished for the day then left project. The next day we returned to power wash the concrete and seen there was a puddle at the steps. Jim stated he had to move the forms as we did not set right the night before. But he did not alert us before we poured the job. We should have noticed that the form were not 100% to par but we did not catch it till it was too late. We did inform the customer that we would like to finish project right and he was difficult to work with from there and was not understanding that a mistake was made and we wanted to make right. We will replace the areas that water is not flowing right and will keep to original plans and price when job is complete. I would like to schedule for November 12th and 13th weather permitting.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/11/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The project actually started September 14th. His date is incorrect. If it was done September 19th, they would have been poring concrete on a Sunday.
As far as "missing screws", the crew was absolutely informed the next morning. I was not very happy that I had to fix their forms as they were 2-3 inches out of square and concrete was being poured the next morning. All the screws (Tapcons) were in place before the concrete was poured. The forms were also on the same markings as before and the same step height as before. I have picture documentation to show how far off their forms were and that I put them back on the same step height markings.
As far as being difficult. This project was scheduled to start September 14th and be finished by September 15th or 16th. I was told that they were not able to come fix the issues till sometime early to mid November. I said that was unacceptable, but that didnt seem to matter. After no communication, at that point I contacted the B.B.B.
I don't feel full price is fair. We have been waiting nearly two months for this project to be finished. Not to mention they were supposed to supply gravel as a base under the concrete, but used my gravel. The crew needed an extention cord, so they went into my garage and used my 100' cord. That's fine, but they took it with them. I informed Scott in the office and have yet to receive a follow up call. In addition, I will be missing even more work.
The project as a whole is very poor quality. There is much more wrong than water gathering at my foundation. Although, Rob would not know that because he has not come out to look and see for himself.
