We ordered new windows and, when installation was attempted, one window did not fit. Another was broken. The broken window was replaced. The window that did not fit took the company 3 times to complete. We now have a screen that has holes from an undetermined origin, only one screen. This was reported to the company.
The total window replacement started in August of 2015 but was not completed until November 2015. A representative arrived in January 2016 with a replacement screen for the one with the holes....it didn't fit.
When a consumer obligates themselves to a financial burden such as this, I expect a better and more competent level of response. We were also told by the salesman that we would receive a tax credit for the windows that were being replaced which, to date has never received. We have inquired of the company a half-dozen times and received various responses, all by phone.
It has taken this company 3 months to complete a job that should have taken a few days. I am not happy with the amount of time it takes this company to address issues raised by the consumer, the manner in which they are addressed and believe there may have been some deception involved regarding the tax credit.
I have been a police officer and criminal investigator for over 30 years and do not make these assertions lightly.
Contract not complete, we had a miss-measure on this job and are awaiting the replacement window from the factory. Customer has not paid any money nor have we received any funds from the finance company. As soon as the replacement window comes in we will return to complete the contracted work and...
then customer will be asked to sign a certificate of completion. We have a process that we go thru to ensure that mistakes are minimized which starts with a written contract that states among other things the number, type, color of windows to be installed. We include a drawing of the home to indicate the location of windows to be replaced as well. Once the customers financing is approved the rep returns to the home to review the financing and obtain signatures. The job then goes to production and then a quality control call is initiated to the customer to go over the order and schedule the measure of the window openings to be replaced. After this is complete our measure-man makes a trip to the customers home and measures the windows indicated on the contract drawing. The customer must let him on the property to do this measure. Once the windows are measured the results are returned to our offices and verified against the contract one more time before the windows are ordered from the factory. Then the windows are ordered from the factory.
Once the windows arrive at our warehouse from the factory we call the customer to schedule the install. All the above was documented and followed with dates and times. We sent the installers out to the customers home with the six windows and installed five of them due to one that was miss-measured by the measure-man.
