American Range Reviews (4)

I purchased an ARprofessional range one year ago Though I love the look and design of the range, I had some troubles right away with one of the burners A technician came and informed me that the valve for that burner needed to be "regreased" with lithium grease After examining all the valves, the technician informed me that none of the valves had the proper amount of grease He used colorful language to describe how dryâ ¦ I called American Range and was directed to a very friendly [redacted] , who took my comment in stride After a few months, that same valve needed to be greased again, and I realized it was time to replace it On November 10, 2014, I call AR and spoke with [redacted] at partsI asked her about ordering two new valves and a new oven rack She emailed me the order form, which I dutifully filled out, faxed, and sent back, including payment information Five weeks went by I called AR, got [redacted] on the phone again, and asked about my order She informed me that the credit card didn't work, and the order was not placed I asked her why she had not called or emailed to inform me about this, and she said she did not have my contact information I gave my name and number to AR at least three times, including the product registration card I received with the stove I corrected the problem, which was ***'s entering the wrong security code for my card, and she said my order was underway After two more weeks, I received the oven rack, but still no valves I waited until two more weeks went by, fully expecting to find the valves on my doorstep, until today I called AR to request a conversation with their parts manager I left him a voicemail, and called back again after three hours went by I have been on hold now for over minutes, offering me the time to write this review Now I have been helped by the parts manager who has offered to send the valves "at no charge." What he meant was "no additional charge." Thanks I bought their stove,

I would file a complaint, but American Range already has Revdex.com complaints they have not responded to I bought an electric wall oven from them 1/years ago It has recently broken for the 4th time All I asked of them was that I pay for this repair, again, but they guarantee it in the future This was too much for them Their free standing gas range is truly exceptional, but after dealing with their customer service I would never, ever buy anything from them again The dealer I bought through is attempting to advocate for me, but I may have to turn to small claims court

I purchased an AR6 professional range one year ago. Though I love the look and design of the range, I had some troubles right away with one of the burners. A technician came and informed me that the valve for that burner needed to be "regreased" with lithium grease. After examining all the valves, the technician informed me that none of the valves had the proper amount of grease. He used colorful language to describe how dry…

I called American Range and was directed to a very friendly [redacted], who took my comment in stride. After a few months, that same valve needed to be greased again, and I realized it was time to replace it.

On November 10, 2014, I call AR and spoke with [redacted] at parts. I asked her about ordering two new valves and a new oven rack. She emailed me the order form, which I dutifully filled out, faxed, and sent back, including payment information.

Five weeks went by. I called AR, got [redacted] on the phone again, and asked about my order. She informed me that the credit card didn't work, and the order was not placed. I asked her why she had not called or emailed to inform me about this, and she said she did not have my contact information. I gave my name and number to AR at least three times, including the product registration card I received with the stove. I corrected the problem, which was [redacted]'s entering the wrong security code for my card, and she said my order was underway. After two more weeks, I received the oven rack, but still no valves. I waited until two more weeks went by, fully expecting to find the valves on my doorstep, until today. I called AR to request a conversation with their parts manager. I left him a voicemail, and called back again after three hours went by. I have been on hold now for over 45 minutes, offering me the time to write this review. Now I have been helped by the parts manager who has offered to send the valves "at no charge." What he meant was "no additional charge." Thanks.

I bought their stove,

I would file a complaint, but American Range already has 2 Revdex.com complaints they have not responded to. I bought an electric wall oven from them 3 1/2 years ago. It has recently broken for the 4th time. All I asked of them was that I pay for this repair, again, but they guarantee it in the future. This was too much for them. Their free standing gas range is truly exceptional, but after dealing with their customer service I would never, ever buy anything from them again. The dealer I bought through is attempting to advocate for me, but I may have to turn to small claims court.
