American Express placed the merchant account for Royal Blue Marketing Firm (“Royal Blue”) with ARSI on May 20, 2015 for collections.   J[redacted] is the owner of...

Royal Blue and is personally responsible for this account balance.  Ms. [redacted]’s social security number is tied to this account.  V[redacted]e Mc[redacted] was the collector assigned to this account.  Ms. Mc[redacted] continued to attempt to contact Ms. [redacted] because although Ms. [redacted] is a VP of Royal Blue, she is not personally responsible for this American Express merchant account.  It should be noted that Ms. C[redacted] is also the contact person on another account with another company on a merchant account that was placed with ARSI for collections that was also assigned to Ms. Mc[redacted].  Claims of calling almost every day are due to Ms. C[redacted] being the contact person for multiple American Express merchant accounts being handled by Ms. Mc[redacted].
Ms. C[redacted] attempted to make a payment on the balance and had set up a check on June 25, 2015 for $100 to be ran on June 29, 2015.   That check came back as non-sufficient funds.  Our client requires that we obtain payment by certified funds to replace the check that was insufficient.   Ms. Mc[redacted] was attempting to contact Ms. C[redacted] in order to get payment resolved on the account.  As Ms. C[redacted] was not providing payment on the account, Ms. Mc[redacted] had to continue to contact Ms. [redacted], the owner of the company and the individual ultimately responsible for this account, in order to secure payment on this outstanding balance due to our client, American Express.
It should be noted that ARSI received a call from a detective on August 11, 2015, on behalf of Ms. [redacted] possibly investigating Ms. C[redacted].  It appears that Ms. [redacted] may have filed a police report alleging Ms. C[redacted] took this account out under her name.
In addition, ARSI has spoken with American Express and there has not been any payment arrangement made with Ms. C[redacted] on this account and there has not been any payment received by American Express on this account as of this date, August 14, 2015.

Ms. S[redacted] did pay the settlement on July 13, 2015 on the judgment owed to ARSI’s client, Citi.  Our client requires that no action be taken to file a Satisfaction of...

Judgment or any Release until fourteen (14) days of the final payment to ensure that the funds have cleared.
ARSI has directed the law firm of J[redacted] Block, LLC (“J[redacted]”), to file the Satisfaction of Judgment, which was done via mail on Monday, August 24, 2015, with the Madison County Circuit Court, Commonwealth of Kentucky.  The Release of Lien will be filed as soon as possible.  There is a delay in this filing as J[redacted] was unable to obtain the book and page number or file date of the lien and the court will not provide the lien information over the phone and requires a written letter requesting a copy of the lien that includes the lien information. J[redacted] has mailed out that request and will file the Release of Lien as soon as the firm has that information.  Unfortunately, nothing can be done until this information is received.
ARSI has advised Ms. S[redacted]’s attorney of the same information as well and Ms. S[redacted] should contact her attorney for any further information.

This account was recalled from American Recovery Service Incorporated ("ARSI") by Nationwide Insurance earlier today and the balance has been removed.  There is no balance due.

ARSI apologizes for any inconvenience it may have called in inadvertently dialing this customer's phone number.  Both phone numbers have been blocked from being able to be dialed out from ARSI as of October 1, 2015, the date ARSI was made aware of this complaint.

Review: Person called my cell number today. Left a message concerning ... calling from ARSI - name pronounced [redacted] - to collect a debt in reference - but did not leave on the message who she was referencing to or what - message then continued with leaving her phone number and extension to call.I returned the call - her name was spelt [redacted]z. I explained I was not aware of any bill to pay anyone - I have not received a letter from anyone asking to pay them - and I had not received a letter from this company identifying them to such a matter either. She wanted me to give part of my social security number and birthdate. I informed her I would not do so - she would not inform me of what the reference was that was not left on my message unless I gave her this additional information - she insisted she left it on the message despite my continued informing she did not. I tried to continued to explain - I was not aware of owing anyone - and if I did they should send me a bill to pay so I can pay them. I would not provide any sensitive information to her because of the nature of this call and ( if she had left this on the message - why could she not inform me without the sensitive information). I asked 3 times to speak to a supervisor or manager about this - she stated " Mam I can tell you right now - they will not say anything different then what I am telling you". I asked her to stop over talking me and interrupting so I could finish what I was attempting to say - but she would not provide me this courtesy - which is when I then again asked to speak to her manager or supervisor - I was put on hold temporarily - she returned to the connection - then stated she would not provide me the information ( I had already stated my name initially - she had accepted this in the beginning to continue to speak to me - but refused my requests. She was argumentative, hostile intonation, condescending and refused to recall and leave the reference. I stated I was going to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: What I had asked for - who is requesting money? I have no record of a bill outstanding to support her claims. I have not had any communication with a service provider by mail or call to support her claims.I have no information to support who this is - if in fact are legitimate or not - requests were denied and I was further threatened " Since you won't provide me this information - I am going to write it down in your file "I would like this investigated.

I have been dealing with them for over a month now to pay a debt I had on a Radio Shack credit card in full. I contacted the to pay off the debt and they would not accept my debit card for payment. I resorted to an electronic check. They wait almost 2 weeks to notify me that they can't accept the check. I have been through this process multiple times now. I contacted my bank last week and they have had no attempt to charge my debit card or use the multiple checks. I went to there website and processed my payment there and it posted as pending on my account. I contacted them to make sure this payment will be accepted to pay the debt in full and they told me there will be no problem as long as it was processed as debit. It was. 6 days after the payment posted and I assumed this was finally resolved. I check my bank account on the 7th day and they have credited the full mount back to my card. This is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable!

I received a call from a representative at ARSI who told me that an agreed judgement that I signed for could be extended indefinitely from one 15 year period to another, which we all know is a violation of Federal truth in lending laws.

Review: Royal Blue Marketing Firm had an American Express processing account for Amex cards to receive sales from customers. We gave a refund to a customer in late march or early April. Our Amex account went negative and we had a dry spell for a few months. Not the only business we run. Amex turned the account over to ARSI. A V[redacted]e Mc[redacted] kept calling the president J[redacted] and myself E[redacted] the VP. I advised that J[redacted] was partly blind and that I would take care for the matter and don't bother J[redacted]. V[redacted] offered no payment plan and just kept calling almost everyday to my self and J[redacted]. This is unprofessional and harassing and maybe she has nothing to do with her time but I do.One of her calls she called at 4pm on a Friday when I was at a client's and she left a message she needed to debit our checking that day. Well I returned her call on monday and she had debited our checking account but a wire going into another account came in 4 days late and so we were not able to transfer to Royal blue marketing in time. We contacted American Express and filed a complaint against her. They advised to just wire the money into them.Desired Settlement: V[redacted] offered no payment plan and just wanted to call and harass. We specifically told her NOT to bother J[redacted] because she was disabled and partly blind and she continued to harass J[redacted] anyway. We have made arrangements with T[redacted] at American Express to just send the payment into them directly. We do not want any more harassing phone calls from V[redacted] at ARSI.

Response:

American Express placed the merchant account for Royal Blue Marketing Firm (“Royal Blue”) with ARSI on May 20, 2015 for collections. J[redacted] is the owner of Royal Blue and is personally responsible for this account balance.

Review: 2 weeks ago I spoke with representative because I received collection letter. The letter involved charges of $351.92 I called immediate to speak with somebody. Representative was so not cooperative that I asked to get a itemized bill what I have been charged for RESPONSE" if you are planing not to pay I cant give you itemized bill" I complained and finally she said she will send me over email after she refused again to send me over fax.I waited 2 weeks and got no response checked spam nothing. I called First Data Merchant because the account was with them. Their support told me that my account was closed by collection. They couldn't give me any information only that can tell me that when I had merchant account they tried to deposit money to my account from cases that I have won and they couldn't deposit them.It is very strange and not explanatory who a person ends up on collection for a company actually owe me money. They couldn't give me any explanation at all and I called the collection again. No body can give me information why I need to pay this money and this will hurt me for something that I dont even owe.Desired Settlement: Remove all balance and received the money that first data owe me.

Response:

Mr. [redacted]’s account with First Data Merchant Services (“First Datat”) was placed with American Recovery Service Incorporated (“ARSI”) on October 8, 2013. The merchant account was in connection with Mr. [redacted]’s business, Nexus Web Design Inc. We have reached out to our client, First Data, regarding Mr. [redacted]’s complaint and dispute. First Data has advised that this balance is in fact accurate and has provided documentation to support the balance of $302.06.

First Data has advised that they had spoken to Mr. [redacted] and that he had acknowledged the balance, had attempted to pay it but that the payment was unable to be processed because of an issue with Mr. [redacted]’s bank. First Data attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] regarding that issue with the payment and was unable to contact him which caused this account to be placed with ARSI. The supporting documentation from First Data has been attached.

Mr. [redacted] may contact us toll free at ###-###-#### to further discuss resolving his account.

Response:

For a 5th time and now most of the officially I request a itemized bill sent here. Nothing was sent to me they lie over email over this over that nothing is sent and you can see all my requests. Stop fooling around with people I wont stop posting this ridiculous things that you are doing everywhere. I will put you on rip off report as well. I request official publishing on the information here so Revdex.com can also see that you are not doing anything I requested. I'm requesting those information to be delivered to me here or send me email confirmation or fax confirmation if you claim that you send me. Nobody has sent me anything and I request it to be sent here so both sides can see.

Review: I constantly receive the robo-dialed calls from ###-###-#### (ARSI) which is a collection agency. When I pick up the phone, there is dead air. When I call the phone number on my caller ID, I am told it is a collection agency. On further questioning, the representatives and the managers admit that they do not have an account with my telephone number and state that they cannot find where their computer dialed my phone. This is the same story received numerous times. I have spoken with managers on two occasions now and have been assured that they will contact their IT department and have them remove my phone number from their database. This has not been done. I am being harassed by this company with constant phone calls and I can't get them to stop calling me. They cannot tell me why my phone number is in their database. I was receiving calls at least weekly from this company.Desired Settlement: Please make them stop calling me. Make them check their database for my home phone number and remove it from their records. Thank you.

Review: I paid an old debt from 2005 as part of a written settlement offer from ARSI in the amount of $1967.50 in full on 7/13/15. The was payment in full per the settlement offer. It has been 43 days since I made the payment and they have yet to release the lien on my property. I have called ,faxed and emailed repeatedlyDesired Settlement: Reflect my account balance as paid in full and remove lien from my property

Business

Response:

Ms. S[redacted] did pay the settlement on July 13, 2015 on the judgment owed to ARSI’s client, Citi. Our client requires that no action be taken to file a Satisfaction of Judgment or any Release until fourteen (14) days of the final payment to ensure that the funds have cleared.

Review: American Recovery Service Incorporated continues to send me notices which state that they are "Court-ordered judgments against me" when I have never been served or notified in any manner that a court case was filed against me. Additionally, ARSI ignored my written notification to them that identity theft has been committed against me numerous times and I have filed identity theft notifications with the IRS, the FTC, Social Security Administration, PG&E, SMUD, all three major credit reporting agencies and local law enforcement. An unknown person assumed my identity and filed a tax return as well as taking out numerous credit lines in my name. My home burned down in 2010 and all my records were lost in the fire, therefore, I do not know if this is a legitimate debt or a fraudulent one. ARSI has not been responsive to my requests for additional information regarding the matter. This matter continues to get passed off to other collection agencies as soon as I request additional information. I do not believe this is my debt. Mail has been stolen from my mailbox as well so I do not receive everything sent to me. I am as frustrated as everybody else by these matters.Desired Settlement: I would require additional information as well as confirmation that this is even my debt as I do not believe it is and from the research I have done so far, it does not belong to me.

Response:

Our client placed two judgment accounts with our office for collections on October 16, 2013. Initial corresopndence was sent to Ms. J[redacted] advising her of this. No phone calls were made to her nor was any correspondence received from her in which she disputed these account balances. We will request documents from our client to validate these account balances and will send to Ms. J[redacted] for her review. If Ms. J[redacted] still does not believe these account balances to belong to her after review of the validation documentation or that the accounts were taken out fraudulently by a third person, Ms. J[redacted] would need to call in to ARSI at ###-###-#### and speak to one of our agents who could assist her further in this matter.
