of January 17, with Mrs*** at her requestMrs*** explained that she worked nights and it would be better to repair the bathtub in the afternoon so it could dry and be used the next day, as it was just an inch long around the drain. When Mrs*** called the office on Wednesday January 11, I did explain I had the flu and was only making appointment for existing customers, I was not making appointments for new work that week, but we are able to take care of her repair. When the technician, *** arrived at Mrs*** home at 3:PM on the 17th *** asked to see the bathtub, Mrs*** stated how the drain should of been replaced in 2013, *** explained that we do not replace drains and that we did sand out the rust, filled it with body putty and then sealed the drain area before refinishing the bathtubThis is the choice we give in cases of drain rust, replace the drain before our process or we can repair the existing drain area and it is covered with our year warrantyMrs*** wanted us to repair the drain and not have the it replaced by a plumber in 2013. Mrs*** stated to *** that she thought this appointment was just to look at the drain and that we should make a new appointment for the repair*** explained that this appointment was for the repair and would be dry by the next morning as requested when the appointment was made with Mrs*** did go out to his truck to get his equipment for the repair, then Mrs*** asked *** why he was roaming around her house? *** was confused by this accusation, Mrs*** continued to show discuss with *** and told him she wanted a different person to come and repair her bathtub*** explained that we are a small company and he was the only one that does this workMrs*** continued to explain she works nights and this was not going to work and started talking about replacing the drain*** then left knowing had repeated himself enough and that Mrs*** was not going to let him repair the tub. Mrs*** then called the office around 6:PM that same day and started the conversation with" I have already called and made a complaint with the Revdex.com" Then she started telling me how *** was just roaming around her house and how we should of replaced the drain in 2013, she continued to tell me that the appointment was to just look at the one inch area around the drain and how disappointed *** was when she wouldn't let him repair the tub and she had a year warranty and wanted her money backI then did respond that I didn't know what the hell she was talking about with us replacing the drain and *** roaming around her houseMrs*** starting repeating over and over again about making the appointment to just look at the tub, at that point I asked if we could talk about it the next day after she settled down and then we would work something outMrs*** wanted nothing to do with working it out and once again starting repeating herself about her working nights and needed the tub dry by the next morning and we should of replaced the drain. There was nothing I could of said or done different that we had not already explained and attempted to do to honor our warranty so yes I ended the call by telling her to go ahead and call the Revdex.com. I am sorry this happened and that we were not allowed to repair the bathtubThe repair would of taken under minutes to complete and dry by 9:am the next dayI rarely if any, get complaints about *** and or his workMatter of fact the customer *** had just come from before he arrived at Mrs*** home at 3:PM thanked *** and gave him a $tip. This statement along with others is by Mrs***: that we were in agreement that NO work was to be completed that day as she needed to be able to sleepI also did not proceed to get vulgar during our conversation, I really wasn't able to say much at all as Mrs*** did most of the talking and adding more and more accusations when I would try to reply to her on the phoneAs far as her conversation with ***'s father, yes he did call *** and told him that the lady who called him complained about everything under the sun and really wasn't making much since and told him good luck, but he didn't think she was ever going to be reasonable with us. We will honor our year warranty and repair the drain, this is the only resolution in the process of bathtub refinishing. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]It is my understanding from talking with the son, when he was in my home,that American refinishing does not replace drains, as he did not have the training or tools to perform the task at hand. Therefore, I believe it is my best interest to have someone qualified in removing drains, remove the drain, to avoid complications later on down the road. I am requesting a full refund of the moneys spent on my bath tub and will have someone else complete the work as I don't feel comfortable moving forward with [redacted] or his mother in my home.
