American Relocation are the worst movers I've ever had, and I've moved LOTS of timeThey quoted me $to pack and move my one bedroom house miles awayThey ended up charging me over $2400! I gave them a detailed inventory of my things, they quoted hours and took They quoted me one hour of drive time, but it was hours, at $140/hourThey charged another $because my dining table was heavy...They didn't need any extra tools or people to transport it, I have no idea how they justified thatThe movers were exceptionally slow and sloppy at packing my thingsSome items were broken (haven't made it through the claims process yet), and I'm quite certain that my nicest earrings (diamond hoops) were stolenWhen they finished packing, they tried to talk me into coming back the next day for delivery because they were tired and had families at homeI had nowhere to go that night with my dogs and couldn't pay for more hours of drive time, so I asked that they finish the job that nightThey then tried to drop everything in my living room in the interest of time, but I had to explain to them that I can't move the furniture up and down stairs by myselfThey complained about it repeatedly and threatened that if bulky items were unable to fit around the stairs, they wouldn't be able to get them out againI had to pay them before they would unload the truck, but I contacted them after the move to explain what had happened and that I would never have booked this company if I had known the true costThey ultimately told me there was nothing they could doI really could not afford the amount they charged me, there were cheaper estimates but I thought that I would get a good company based on the reviews on this site (now I see that there are bad reviews on other sites)I have never written a review before, but I wanted to make sure that everyone is warned before they have an awful experience like I didAlso be careful with Green Line Relocation, I got quotes from both and when I tried to confirm, I learned that they are the same companyIt is deplorable to charge someone over twice the estimate when nothing has changed, I feel completely taken advantage of and am still trying to recover

They were really nice and efficient and the best price from the quoted in recievedIt was a local move and they were pretty courteous when it came to packing the unexpected glass items

I gave them a detailed inventory of my things, they quoted 6 hours and took 12. They quoted me one hour of drive time, but it was 3 hours, at $140/hour. They charged another $250 because my dining table was heavy...They didn't need any extra tools or people to transport it, I have no idea how they justified that.
