Review: I rented a [redacted] from them which I payed $326.48 for and it lost all power while backing it off of the trailer. I never got to use it and they won't refund my money or let me use it for the day I payed for. I simply would like a refund because I never got to use it let alone the huge inconvenience.Desired Settlement: I deserve a refund of $326.48. Thank you

6/16/2014Dear [redacted],There is much more behind the rental [redacted] had received. [redacted] rented a [redacted] LoaderBackhoe from our company. When picking up the machine [redacted] did not want to load the machine or go over the machine because he had hired someone to run the machine for him. I was told that [redacted] was in an extreme hurry, as I understand from our notes that once [redacted] got the machine to his job site the machine started and ran. They unhooked from trailer and then moved it off the trailer. At this point the hired operator started to move the boom around and check the operations of the machine and the machine shutoff. This was around 5pmish on June 4th. He called our office and wanted to cancel the rental and told our girl in the office to JUST COME PICK IT UP. She spoke more to him and she found a technician to go out to his job site and check out the machine. When the tech arrived no one was on site everyone had left. Our tech went over the machine and found that the Battery disconnect switch was turned to the off position, and this is why the machine died out, there was nothing wrong with the machine. The next morning [redacted] was contacted about the machine and was told that there was nothing wrong with the machine. [redacted] then asked about renting the machine again and then called back and said to forget it that he wasnt going to need the machine. He at this point asked about a refund. He was told that he would have to wait on a refund because the girl that helped him on his rental was out of the office for the day and we needed to get the complete story of what had transpired and why [redacted] just didn't want the rental any more or why he didn't want the tech to repair and leave onsite so they could use the machine in the morning. Then after a while that same day [redacted] called back and said don't worry about the refund he will take store credit as he had done in the past on other rentals [redacted] was unhappy with. ([redacted] had an earlier rental that he rented and did not pay for that he did not like and was given store credit) Then again later that same day [redacted] had called and said he would just take the machine Friday to do the job that he had rented the machine for. I told the counter person to hold off on any more rentals to [redacted] until had a chance to speak to the original rental counter person. Once the original counter person that helped [redacted] was back to work I spoke to them about the rental and [redacted] and how he was, and what he expected from our company, Once I heard the complete story from the original person and how [redacted] acted in a manner that was not professional we decided that we did not want to rent to [redacted] any longer.I reached out to [redacted] and left him a voice mail to call our office and that I would speak to him about a refund for his rental. [redacted] had called back a little while later and I kindly explained to him that we will be refunding him for his rental BUT would be charging him a few non-refundable fees. 1. Min. rental fee once a piece leaves on rental. 35.00 - 2. Service call fee of 75.003. Pick up equipment fee of 75.00These fees are the fees for work that we completed while [redacted] was under a rental Agreement with our company. They are fair and reasonable for the work performed. We did not over charge [redacted] and we did not ask for anything from [redacted], [redacted] was mailed a check for his refunded money ASAP after all the information was gathered in our office. I believe [redacted] was treated with kindness in our office and handled with care even know he did not treat our employees with the same respect. I hope to have this matter resolved and cleared from any record that may be. I and my manager and allemployees responded to this matter in a timely and professional manner each time anyone dealt with [redacted].Thank You,
