The company in which he represents is A p[redacted]. I learned that he works for both. This man is rude, unprofessional and his workmanship is [redacted]-poor! Beware of his cheap prices and believing that he is out for your best interest. He did siding work for me and hung a door. The siding came off within 2 weeks. He made the repair and guess what? It is falling apart again. He has failed to correct the issue and personally, I don't trust his work and I just want my money back. Please don't be taken advantage of by this man as I unfortunately have.

Review: I had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com in January of this year. At that time I closed the complaint because this contractor agreed to repair work and refund a portion of the money I paid to another contractor to fix other aspects of the work. This contractor did come back and repair a portion of the work, but never completed all repairs he originally agreed to repair. In April of 2013 ** and I shook hands and agreed to a $1,000 refund. I was originally looking for $3,000, but we agreed on $1,000 and he was going to make two payments of $500 with the first payment in April.

That never happened. I called him back in August and he had still not sent a payment for $500, $1,000 or anything. He told me that he was out of state until the end of the month. My wife called him back in October and he now states that he only owes us $500. He should be paying $3,000 or more, but we agreed to $1,000 and I will stick to that since we had an agreement and hand shake.

Here is my original complaint filed in January:

I contracted with American Roofing, Siding, Window and Door Company to replace my siding, fix a fence, re-point some of my bricks and replace a roof. The quality of the work completed was less than inferior. My siding looked bad from the beginning and was not a quality job by any reasonable person's perspective. I have numerous pictures to show the poor quality of workmanship around my entire house. My siding is currently falling off of my house and the entire project needs replaced. The roof that the company installed over my porch looked very bad. At the first rain it leaked throughout my entire room and damaged my ceiling and walls, I also lost several items from the rain damage. This company came in and repainted my room and it looked like a 5th grader painted the room. I recently had another company replace the roof that American Siding and Roofing... put on and found out that they had lied to me and charged me for work they did not perform. The contractor ** had informed me that he had to remove additional roofing from my roof and had to charge me $700 extra. When this other company removed that same roofing he had "replaced" they found 4 layers of roofing underneath that were supposedly removed by American Roofing and Siding. Now I have to pay this new company an additional $695 to remove **'s horrible roofing and the other roofing that I had already paid ** to remove. ** replaced a section of my 6 foot privacy fence with an inferior product that blew away one week after he replaced it. He did not point the bricks that I had paid him to point. I have pictures, estimates and inspections from other companies and my township commissioner's office. Please help me to make sure that he does not do this to anyone else.Desired Settlement: I am asking that he pays me the $1,000 via US Mail and Certified check by November 1st. If I do not receive that payment by then I will be reporting his company to the Attorney Generals Office and any other avenue for me to express my grievance. I do not want it to come to that. We were supposed to meet this week and he did not show up or send a check. We had called him several times and he keeps putting us off. I would just like this to be settled so we can both go about our lives and never worry about this again. I think he believes that I will just go away and that is not going to happen.

Review: 3 Skylights and roof were improperly installed, skylight/roof leaked right after placed and damaged drywall on ceiling. One skylight does not open at all. Employees also nailed random pieces of plastic to retaining wall in yard with roofing nails. Employees also sweeped a prybar through the window while working which damaged wood floor, put wood putty in floor but is not repaired to satisfaction. Came back and redid one skylight and fixed a few shingles and stated would come back the next week to correctly put in other 2 skylights and fix drywall damaged from rain and install. Did not return the next week or return multiple phone calls until called and stated would contact the Revdex.com. Called me back last pm (5/22) stating he is on a vacation and will not return until June 19th.Desired Settlement: I would like the job repaired and last 2 skylights put in correctly and roof inspected by a reputable company. I also would like the damage to the ceiling repaired and floor repaired.

Review: I had a roof put on by this company and in less than 3 months my roof was leaking. I had my son go up into my attic to see why it was leaking and it appears that they placed a car jack in my attic to hold up rotted roofing decking wood. No Ice and water shield was installed, Exposed nails at various locations in valley area, knife cut in valley, exposed nails near ridge line, no step flashing at gable, no step and cap flashing at chimney, ice and water shield underlayment and shingle starter strip at low eave not installed, improperly installed soil stack flashing, collar boots were installed improperly on top of the shingles not correctly flashed under the shingles. I did contact the roofer at the time of the leak and he put off coming out to see the damages. Their insurance company did come out and are issuing a check for inside damages but American Roofing does not have insurance for poor workmanship so the roof was not covered under their insurance. I paid to also have 2 doors put on my mothers house and they were damaged as well. [redacted] from the company came out to my home and stated that he did cut corners on my roof. He then said he would give me back my money since then he has only paid me $1000.00. He stated that he would be back to give the rest and that has not happened. He still owes me $3,475.00. He did not wait for his money when he was doing the roof. The other company is waiting to get paid now. I don't have that kind of money in the bank to pay for 2 roofs in less than 3 months. I have cancer bills. He took advantage of my situation and now he is making it worst. I just want my money back. Now I have lung cancer and I can't sleep in my bedroom due to the ceiling damage and I am waiting on the check from his insurance company to fix that problem. I have been having problems breathing the dampness and the musty smell that everyone smells when they come into my home. I have pictures and letters from several company's that came out to see my roof.Desired Settlement: He then said he would give me back my money since then he has only paid me $1000.00. He still owes me $3,475.00. He did not wait for his money when he was doing the roof. yes we made some mistakes she wanted the job done as cheap as she could get it so we told here we had to cut some things out which we should have done it at all so that was wron g on are part we offered a 5 year warrenty we said we would come back and work on it and she did not want that called the ins. copany. so we talked with [redacted] and said in good faith we would return the money only for the roof the contract she signed was $3825 that is what we agreed upon and we said we could only pay once a month and for here to take no action or make a complaint she agreed upon that so in good faith we gave here a check for $1000 on oct THen another ONe in nov. for

rd about those until know so the check for the instalition for the doors will not be in there The roof was leaking before we started it and thats way the wood was rooted she said she didnt have enogh money to replace all that wood and boards we we learned a lesson also not to do it for cheap .

Thats how she recived the money she said to do the job was from a settlment from suing someone

I am rejecting this response because: I have called ** and asked for all my money and he refused to pay me in full. He has been dropping off checks to me and I have told him it was not acceptable. I have to pay the other roofer. I never told him to do it cheap and cut corners, when he came to my home he told me that was what it would cost and I would never have a problem. I told him to replace the rotted wood and I would take care of it. He knew the wood was not good in some places and yet he never replaced the wood, to the point he put a car jack in my attic to hold up rotted wood. I complained to him about my roof sagging in one area and he said he would fix it, yea he did with a car jack. And he cut to many corners and some of the work he did was just horrible. Nails were exposed throughout my roof, no ice and water shield was put on, no flashing around chimney, they hammered nails right through my my trim and they never put the boots under my shingles. Now that is stuff that is done when a roof is put on. So if he says the nails were exposed because of money, that is a sad excuse for the problems I had to my roof. And I never agreed for him paying once a month. He just took it upon himself to do that and I have complained to him about it. And I never agreed that I would not make a complaint about this. I also told him that I was contacting my attorney regarding this matter and he said go ahead I am not paying you. Then he showed up a week later and paid me $1000.00. Now I told ** that I did not make payments to him over a period of 6 months and I will not accept payments from him that way. I paid him for a roof to be put on my home and he said he would do a great job for me. He quoted the price of the job I never ask him to do it cheaply. And he took my money and did a horrible job. Not only to my roof but to my sheds as well. The shingles are falling off my one shed and there was no tar paper put on the other shed. He just put shingles to the wood on the other shed. I have to have my sheds redone as well.

I have been in business for 28 years now and when I bid out a job if I am to low on the job they still get the job done and done right. If I did not bid it correctly, then that is my problem not my customers. I am responsible for knowing what to bid a job for. And ** is responsible for knowing his line of work as well and not make problems for his customers. Which is what he did.

As far as the doors, they dented the doors and took off paint when they put them on. I never took notice to that till after I had the problems with the roof, and then I saw the damage to the doors after I inspected their other work. His insurance company took pictures of the doors when they came out as did my insurance company. And I want paid for all the work they did, I have to have to doors redone as well. And there is air coming in all around the doors they are not put ion correctly. Since the weather changed and with the wind I did not notice how bad they were. But since it is colder and with the wind I had to put blankets over the doors to keep out the cold.

Attached is a letter to ** and he was going to get it with his next check drop off which was going to be Friday the 22, 2013. He never showed up. Although he called and said he would be here. I have told him time and time again to pay me in full and he refuses to do that. I want paid in full or we go to court. I will be meeting with my attorney on Tuesday the 26 of November regarding this matter. I never thought I would have to have 2 roofs put on my home in a 3 month period and my neighbors could not believe it as well. I have 36 pictures of the work he did and 2 letters from other roofing companies regarding the workmanship he did to my roof. In fact his own insurance company could not believe the workmanship he did to my roof. ALL I WANT IS PAID IN FULL, AND ** KNOWS IT. He refuses to pay me in full like I paid him. This will all go away when he pays me. When he dropped of the 1st check he said he was stopping by to pay me, I assumed it was to pay me in full. When he showed up the first time to see the damages to my bedroom, he apologized to me and said he cut corners on the job. Yea, he cut corners to make money on the job, not to save me money by any means.
