As was explained at Customer Service and in the store, American Sale’s return policy states (both in the store on the sign above the registers, on our receipts and on our website in our FAQ’s regarding the return policy): "Returned Merchandise must be in new condition in the original packaging." Once the tree was removed from the box and wrapping, it is no longer in new condition and able to be sold as a new item As was explained to the customer in the store, we would be happy to exchange the tree for the same tree if she felt like the tree she saw on display was not the tree in the box she purchasedWe have the trees on display for this very reason, so that customers can view it in the store and decide if they would like to purchase it prior to making the purchaseThe trees, when removed from the boxes require significant “fluffing” and shaping; this may be why she feels her tree looks different from the one in the storeWe offered to show the customer how we shape them in the store so that hers will look like our trees on displayOnce an item has been removed from its packaging it is no longer able to be sold as new, therefore we cannot refund the customer her moneyAn exception was made for this customer and she was offered an option to return the tree but she would be required to pay a restocking fee; because the tree cannot be sold as new, we will have to discount the tree (which would be the amount that the customer pays in the form of the restocking fee)The customer was made aware of the procedure to bring the tree back if she chooses to accept this offerWe wish her the best in the future

we went into the Merrilville location and found a nice laser display for Christmasunfortunately it was out of stock but, the manager looked it up and it was to be in tinley park location the next dayWe could pay or simply put a deposit down and, they would call when it was delivered to the storeA short minute distanceFor convenience I paid the full amount as my wife would simply have to pick it up, as I had to workIt was expected in merrllville on the 6thWhen I recived no call on the 7th I called, and was informed that it was in transit from Tinley Park and to check back on Friday the 9thAgain I would receive a call when it gt to the storeNo callI called this morning and they have no idea where it is, it was listed as "supposed to be in store" on the 5th but they couldn't tell me where it wasI decided to call Tinley park location, all I can talk to there is a machineI have to wait another business day to hopefully speak with someoneAfter reading other peoples complaints it seems that American Sale has the same problem over and overhorrible customer service, and shady sale tacticsPoorly trained staff and, general disregard for honestyI will happily spend my money at other stores in the futurePretty sure they got their A+ Revdex.com rating by keeping the financial contributions highorder from somewhere online, or go somewhere elseYou will only get frustrated with this poorly run store

My husband ordered a hot tub cover at the beginning of the summerThe lady her name is Sandy ***, said it would take weeks to be delivered, but we waited more like weeksOkay, so we waited patiently, until they came with the wrong color, so the delivery men said oh this happens ALL the time, hmm well that's not good to hear, who is *** this up the manufacturer or Sandy? I would venture to guess Sandy since this happens all the timeI mean we don't have a difficult order here, it is a simple cover for our hot tubThis is why I am beyond frustrated right nowMy husband calls Sandy on Thursday Oct 6th at 2pm she is short with him and says they are on their way now, so my husband comes home from work at and still no hot tub cover, no call! nothingSo he calls Sandy, of course she does not answer, but leaves a message and says I thought they were on their way? call me back!
So now it is Friday October 7, and still no coverI would have expected a call back today from Sandy with an explanation, and also our hot tub cover delivered first thing this morning, but nope, nothing! not even a call, nothing! I am sorry but this is terrible customer service so I have no idea how this company can get a good rating, maybe people are too afraid to speak up because there are limited business's that do this sort of thing in our area, but I just have to speak up about this lady and this Company and how we have been treated with little to NO respectThey deserve a zero
They have broken every service customer rule in the bookI would highly recommend people to go elsewhere, run do not stop!
My husband will be fighting this payment on his card tomorrow since we have paid for something that we do NOT have in our possesion

Worse place to deal with. Took my deposit & never got my item. Ordered on 7/28/16. Told me it would take about six weeks. Called on 9/12 and spoke to Scott who gave me a date of 9/11 and then kept transferring me to someone who kept transferring me to someone else. Called Melissa who is suppose to be the store manager on 9/22 who said she'd check with Allison . On 9/23 Melissa left me a message saying it would be in on 10/3. Never got a call saying it came in. Stopped @ store on 10/4 for my item and they are telling me it still hasn't arrived! Who is running this place! So unprofessional! I wasted almost 10 weeks waiting for an item that I never got!

American Sale does not have record of the charges the customer is claiming. We have offered to assist the customer, but will need current copies of the customer's statement showing these charges so that we may assist the customer in resolving this issue.

After a thorough audit of credit card transactions, American Sale does not have any charges for this customer in the stated amounts; the only charge for the customer is the amount that she agreed was her purchase. When requested, the customer refused to provide copies of her statements showing...

these additional charges. American Sale would be happy to assist the customer with investigating these charges with her financial institution but will need copies of current statements showing these transactions.
