We have not had phone service for three days. [redacted] has not responded to my phone calls and no other contact information has been provided to me.
We signed up with this company (Preferred Satellite) last August. The main incentive was the price: If we signed up with this company our phone service would be only $29.99/yr. ($2.49/mo.). Were it not for this offer their other services are pretty much what everyone else is offering. Our phones service has not worked for three days. We realized it Thursday, February 9, 2012 when we tried to call our home phone number and got nothing. When we got home we checked the lines, disconnected and reconnected everything (as we had done when we had DIGIS service.) This did not resolve our problem so I called the number I had been provided from Preferred Satellite. I left a message. The only number provided by his answering service was for the TV service. We need phone service. I called again that night, two or three times on Friday and twice on Saturday (so far). On Saturday, February 11, 2012 I searched on google to find the office phone number which was not in service. I drove to the address 1014 W Gentile St. in Layton but the office was closed and vacant.
We also have internet service through preferred satellite (Connext). One incentive for this was to have wireless service. I even bought a second computer but we cannot get wireless connection. None of the passwords work and the company has not helped us with this.
We do have a cell phone but it is a 'pay by the minute' cell phone which we have had to use this weekend. I can't take it anywhere with me because we have to leave it with whomever is home.
