Review: The construction and replacement of a new flat roof for [redacted] was contracted to American Construction on [redacted], 2013. One month into the completion of the new roof we experienced leaks around the rim of one of the gutter systems. I called the company and they sent over [redacted] the roof contractor working for them. He advised me that the leaks were coming from a broken drain pipe and not the roof and suggested that I call a plumber. I called the plumber to come in and the plumber confirmed that there were no broken pipes and suggested that I call the roof contractors for warranty work. Since this time, I have been in contact with American Construction on a monthly basis tyring to arrange for someone to come check out the leak again, but they were either too busy or closed for the season. As of December 2013, I was informed that the owner of the company died, the company was closed for restructuring, but that they will try to have [redacted] come check out the leak. After we finally scheduled an appointment in March 2014, I was dissapointed because I was a the laundromat all day and he never showed up. I followed up with the company the day after the appointment and they advised me that [redacted] did come to the appointment and that he did not find any problems with the roof.

Now, unforutnatley, the leak has spread to numerous spots on the roof. The flat roof is clearly uneven and sinking, collecting water heavily in certain areas. I am very frustrated because despite my numerous attempts to sort this out, I have been given the run around and am at the mercy of the company. At this point, I feel that filing this complaint is my only option to ensure our contract is honored and the roof is fixed as per the warranty.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is to have the warranty work completed on the roof; specifically, to fix the leaks that have been caused by the sinking roof and subsequent puddling of water in numerous areas.
