This response really isn't reflective of my interactions with ASTFirst, I spoke with a representative who walked me through the transfer of assets form line by lineHe confirmed for me, even after checking with his manager, that a medallion signature was not requiredThen, after mailing in my request form, I learned that my my request had been rejected because there was no medallion signature, at which point I called in and spoke with another representative who told me that he would research my call logs, and if he was able to confirm that I did not need a medallion signature, they would process my requestOnly then days later did I learn, without any explanation, that my request was being rejectedAfter calling in again to finally get an explanation, I was told that because there was no medallion signature my request would be rejectedThere was no apology for all the errors and no explanation on why I had received the wrong information twiceI hope this encourages AST to improve their call center training and leadership

I have received no accounting statement regards the value of the shares AST took for their service. Nothing was said about the lost shares.My correct address was clearly written on each of the ten certificates and in the change address box in the form that was returned to them. They just didn't do an honest or competent job. I believe that they have been trading my shares. According to their communication, this business was completed on August ***, but no shares were sent to me although their form indicated that they would be. In all, AST is a very shoddy business

I have never reported to the company that my shares of Cortex Stock was reported lost or exchanged.After receiving a notice in early March, (page of attached file), I contacted the company to see what I needed to dothe person I talked to asked if I had received a stock certificated for RespireRx PharmaceuticalsI said "NO." He then told me that I would have to sell the partial shares of Cortex stock and that I would get $per share (see page of attached).On March *** 2017, I sent a certified return receipt of the completed form and the original Cortex Stock certificate (pages to of attached file).March **, (page of attached file): Received a letter from *** ***, American Stock Transfer & Trust Company, LLC, Operations Center, Reorganization Department "Certificate CXbears a "stop transfer notation" due to a lossKindly resubmit the certificate with a signed letter of instruction authorizing the removal of this notation." Action was completed by my on April *, and sent by *** certified returned receipt (pages 5,of attached file) A check was mailed to me post marked ** APR 'New York for $No explanation for what this check is for. I have not received any payment for my shares of Cortex Stock "holders of pre-split Respirex common stock who otherwise would have been entitled to receive a fractional share as a result of the stock will receive an amount in cash equal to $per post-split for such fractional interest upon surrender to American Stock Transfer and Trust Company, LLC ..." Why have I not received this payment? May *, (page of attached file): Letter sent by certified return receipt - no returned receipt received to date nor has the letter been returned by ***

I started buying Microsoft shares online from AST in January 2018. I added to the shares each month and all went well until May. On May 7th I purchased stock online and a few days later received a written transaction confirmation in the mail. I watched my bank account for the amount to clear and it never did. On June 4th I called to see what was going on and was told by customer service that my transaction never went through due to insufficient funds and they would send my inquiry to "research" and someone would call me. I asked them why I received a confirmation of the purchase and they sidestepped the question and said they would send me a written record of the insufficient funds statement. I waited another week and still the money never came out of my account, no one from "research" called me and I didn't receive any statements from AST. I called again on 6/11 and got the same runaround. I then called and through the phone options asked to sell my shares. On June 19th I received a transaction confirmation dated 4/3/18 with the detachment at the bottom to choose an option. I didn't get another copy of my 5/7/18 purchase; they just conveniently left that out of the equation. I guess I need to fill out the bottom of the form to sell my shares. I really don't know since nobody at customer service seems to know what's going on. I am disappointed with AST on many levels but the main one is telling me I had insufficient bank funds to make a purchase ( which I did not ) but sending me a transaction confirmation that the purchase was made. I'm also disappointed with customer service; neither person I spoke with was helpful at all but just anxious to push the complaint up the line.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I was provided incorrect information twice by AST representatives  I understand that a Medallion signature is required and that I will need to provide one on my next iteration, but that will not stop these issues from happening again with other customers. Please look back in my call logs and review them for the errors that I noted. Have a good day.

Dear Shareholder, A review of our records reflects that when you communicated with our call center on March ** 2017, a research request was placed to review your account to determine if cost basis data was on file. Since your shares are "uncovered" and issued prior to 2011, AST does not...

have a record of your cost basis and unable to provide a statement.  We can provide a history of your dividend reinvestment activity; however the original purchase data is not available to us. A notice was sent to you on March ** 2017 reflecting that the shares were uncovered.  We sincerely apologize that you did not receive the communication, and the wait times you may have experienced when trying to reach a telephone representative.
