We assisted *** with preparing his 2017 Federal and State tax return on March 22, 2018. At that time, he advised that he would also like to prepare his 2016 taxes. Because our priority is always the current tax year, we advised *** to load us the necessary documents to prepare the 2017 return first. Once the return was prepared, signed, and reviewed, we filed it to the IRS.
We then asked *** to load his 2016 Wage statement so we could begin preparation on the 2016 return.
Upon review, it seems that his tax preparer did not complete the preparation of the 2016 return.
We will be reaching out to *** so we can finish the process and get the 2016 return filed so he can receive his federal and state refund.
In regards to *** stating that he did not receive his 2017 State taxes, our records indicate that the state of Oregon directly mailed him a check. We will provide *** with all contact information for the state of Oregon so he can reach out and get a new check issued if the original was lost in the mail.
We attempted to reach out to *** on 8/20/18 at 12pm and left him a voicemail with our office contact information.
