Review: My son was upgraded from the white belt club to the black belt club and I was not only charged a new "down payment fee" of $395 but was also charged for the white belt club for $157 (which had already been canceled) along with the new black belt club. Along with this, my bank account was also charged an extra $177 which they couldn't even explain what it was for. When I called [redacted]) for this charge he hung up on me. When I went into the gym to get my refund check, not only did he give a check for $156 (supposed to be $157) but he said "get the [redacted] my gym before I drag you out myself." At this point we called the police. By now we didn't feel safe sending our son here so we asked if he would cancel our contract. He told the police that he would cancel it first thing in the morning because his billing company had closed which I was able to contact about 2 hours after that, so that was a lie. He also told the police that if we go back he would have us arrested for trespassing. When we go to cash the check for the $156, we noticed he didn't even sign the check. We called the police again and went to the gym. By this time he had left and as his wife was about to sign the check, she double checked with him on the phone and he said that "his lawyer advised him not to sign it." So not only did he steal the unexplained $177, but he also wrote us an illegitimate check which was worthless and he never called his billing company to cancel our membership. In total he stole over $700 dollars from us and plans to continue stealing more money from our account. On top of everything he threatened to cause physical harm. Not to mention my son has seasonal [redacted] so I wanted to put his account on hold after providing him a medical record from my son's doctor. Now I am definitely not sending him there because he will cause harm to my child. This [redacted] guy is a total scam artist.Desired Settlement: I would want my full refund of every penny he stole from us including the $395, the $157, and the $177. Along with this I would also like to cancel my contract there because he threatened to hurt us. If he can hurt us, he can hurt my child. We even have a police incident report from the 2nd time we called the police along with all three officers' names and badge numbers.

Review: Signed up for a MMA gym winter a 5 month pass. When I went there they refused to give me the free one month membership that there emails and website promised. I proceed because the people seemed nice. After a month I went back to school and had my final 4 months frozen for the summer. Shortly after leaving I decided that this gym wasn't for me an I wanted my money back. On all the emails and website it states there is a money back guarantee. When I tried to get in contact with the owner or upper level person they ignored my calls for a month and have refused to call me back.Desired Settlement: I want the final four months of my payment back. Due to poor customer service and false advertisement.

Review: Signed a 6 month contract to be a member of american top team mma gym in May 2013. After signing the contract and giving my billing information everything changed. They told me and my friend that we could only come to train twice and week and if we wanted to train more we would have to pay more. They also told us that we could not go to any classes on friday, or sunday, and that we could only go to a 9am class on saturday. I have been a member of many gyms in my short life and never have I encountered rules like this, however, I signed the contract and figured I would honor it and make the most of it. My friend was less amicable and has been trying to get out of the contract since the first month. After I signed the contract, the office told me they would get me a copy of it. To this day they have avoided me and refused to do so. Now that my six months were up I called them and left them a message that I would not be renewing my membership for obvious reasons. A week later I get a letter from a company called membership solutions in Pennsylvania and they inform me that my contract has been automatically renewed and my automatic payments will continue. I call them and tell them that I already cancelled my membership and that I should not be charged. They tell me to send in a certified letter saying that I am not longer a member and I wish to stop being charged, I oblige. A week later I get another letter saying it is too late to cancel and they will continue to charge me for another 6 months. I call the gym, which I am no longer a member of, to tell them this and ask them to resolve this and they tell me it is between me and Membership solutions, which makes no sense because I know if I get charged they will be collecting the money through Member solutions. A receptionist at their front desk told me that they fired NJ, who signed me up, because he was being deceptive and doing things with the contracts! I feel like I am being scammed for additional membership fees even though I am no longer oneDesired Settlement: My only wish is to stop being charged these additional member fees for a gym that I am no longer a part of. I gave them my billing information and they used it to sign me up for a membership company that is a separate entity from the gym and now the membership company and Gym are pointing fingers at each other saying its not their problem. However, I know at the end of the day if the membership company is charging me, the gym is getting the membership fee. I am being scammed.

Review: I signed up with KOXO Kickboxing in January 2014 with a man named [redacted], who held himself out as an [redacted] & an [redacted] I had previously purchased a [redacted] for 10 classes at this location. As part of the sign up package I was being offered, billing would not commence until March, in light of the fact that I paid for 10 classes already. However, despite the terms of the agreement I was billed $59 for the month of January.On Monday February [redacted] I called the number on the KOXO website and left a message but never received a return call. I then called their [redacted] location on February [redacted] and spoke to a female staff member. I explained the whole situation to her. She told me that [redacted] was no longer with KoXo but that she would speak to the [redacted] and call me back. A week passed and still no return call.I then received a mass email apparently sent to all KOXO members by KOXO STAFF members alleging credit card fraud by [redacted]. SImulataneously the [redacted] studio was abruptly closed for several days without warning or explanation. In addition the KOXO [redacted] page was inexplicably removed & no information had been been provided as to if and when [redacted] would reopen. Therefore on February [redacted] 2014 I emailed the [redacted] detailing the aforementioned and requested that my contract be canceled & that the $59 charge be credited to my account.He responded that my contract had been terminated and the charge reversed. Shortly thereafter I learned that KOXO began using Member Solutions for their billing. Now despite my contract being terminated Member Solutions is attempting to bill my credit card for the monthly membership charges. I contacted [redacted] who at first said he would correct the situation as it was an error, but he is now refusing to help resolve the matter. My credit card company is disputing the charges & I have emailed Member Solutions. I have been dealing with this for over a month & fear that my credit may be adversely affected by no fault of my own.Desired Settlement: I request that KOXO Kickboxing and/or Member Solutions cease any further attempts to bill me for any and all charges. Furthermore that there is no negative impact to my credit as a result of this matter and that all my information be removed from their systems. Thank you.
