On May 31st Airline failed to provide functioning aircraft that allowed for me to travel according to the terms of my ticker puchase thus causing me to arrive 24 hours later than originally scheduled purchase. We were to depart on flight [redacted] from [redacted] at 420pm. After sitting in run way in the plane for an hour telling us nothing they get they get on the intercom at 520pm and tell us there is a problem with navigation system and they are getting a crew out on run way to check it out. And they may have to reroute us....not a very apologetic airline. It is 605pm, almost two hours sitting in plane and no indication how they were going to help us who will miss our connecting flight. they delayed my arrival in on flight [redacted] last Wednesday and delayed my flight back. Landed in [redacted] , missed flight, no meal vouchers, was not provided a flight until noon next day and arrived evening on 1st (almost 24 hours later than flight paid for). Was not offered a refund in anyway but a voucher that was amout 1/3 of the ticket price and did not compensate for lost days work. No in person costumer service but are referred to online complaint form and only get responses from email and unable to reply.

Before signing contract, I was ensured that condominiums/hotels were available in certain areas, which is not true! In October 2013, my husband and I went to a presentation after receiving mail stating that I won free airline tickets, which is not true I attended a 2-hour presentation in Scottsdale, Arizona and we then spoke with a sales representativeWe distinctly told her that we travel often to San Francisco, Portland, and planning a trip to Atlanta on July 1st, The representative then said that if we joined, we would be able to get accommodations in Portland, San Francisco and in Downtown Atlanta
During the presentation, we were instructed on how to use the Global Connections website and since we did not see any locations to the sites we were interested in, the presenter assured us that they were many more not listed as all we had to do was call their “Travel Agency” to make arrangements They presented their raving reviews posted on the website and my husband and I bought in to the service The three day cancellation notice was a concern to us since but we were assured they had no unresolved complaints with the Revdex.com Come to find out that GDV aren’t event members of the Revdex.com
I began the long arduous effort of claiming my “free” airline ticketsI sent in my $in a form of a personal check, which was cashed, and I never did receive the airline ticket from the so called airlines I called the number on the brochure given to me by the Global Connections representative when my husband and I signed upI was instructed to look at the brochure again with a magnifying glass by the rude customer service representative The so called airline representative informed me that I should have sent the $in the form of a money order AND that it should have been made to another business entity altogether in small print I gave up on the “free airline ticket from the fake airline
After signing up for the four, (4), star program, giving a down payment of $1,and paying $a month for several months, In June of 2014, I went to their websiteI was planning an August, trip to San FranciscoIt was then that I realized that they do not have ANY hotels or any accommodations anywhere near San FranciscoI called the so called, “Global Connections travel agency”, and was informed that they do not have any accommodations in any metropolitan area to include Atlanta for my trip in July of I was emailed an itinerary of sorts for my San Francisco trip and I would have to pay $6,or so for a day stayI ended up on ***.*** and got a way cheaper price for a hotel on the Warf for half the cost!
I called *** *** office and was told I should have read my contract, reminded me of the “free airline ticket” I told them that the reason I signed the contract was because I was assured that they were able to accommodate my husband and I at the above destinationsIn was informed that it was IMPOSSIBLE that any of the presenters would have informed that there were accommodations in any metropolitan areaI was given the complete runaroundI decided to look up Global Connections on the website and found so many others in my positionMy husband and I are so disappointed, we’ve spent thousands of dollars with Global Connections that we could have used on our San Francisco, Atlanta and Portland trips
As of to date, with the $1,deposit, and $a month payment plus finance charges of $a month because of the percent interest charges we still owe $5,on our contractMy husband and I have yet to use any of the Global Connections’ servicesAt this point, now that my husband and I live in Portland, I do not want to pay the $annual fee plus the $for accommodation fee for the up and coming trips to Phoenix I would like a refund of all monies paid to Global Connections and cancellation of my contract immediately

I got an invitation-sized letter with no address anywhere on 2/10/14, mailed from zip code 73125, telling me I had qualified for an award of roundtrip airline tickets valued up to $The purported name of the Vice President who sent it was "*** ***"Supposedly they had tried contacting me several times and this was the last timeIn bold letters, it said I must respond "No later than February 14, 2014," and they "may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate." I called the number ###-###-#### and a woman said she was in Scottsdale AZ at a company called "TravelAwards"I asked her if that was the name of the business, and I asked her if it was incorporated in AZShe was snotty and said I just told you the business nameI said I'll check with the AZCCShe said "Good luck!" No business by that name is registered at the AZ Corporation Commission, and that name is not registered with the Secretary of State either

Got a mailing in the mail from this bogus companyI wish I had read information about them before answering any questions
Is this a scam? And should I be worried

Anthony F*, Assistant Project Director gave us his card with # ###-###-#### and email ***.*** which probably no longer work
Lin V***, Office Manager gave us her card with same phone number and an email of ***@***.*** which probably no longer work
Anthony lied to our faces more than one time Made promise to give us $in free dinners; which he never gave us Promised a fee trip which was also a scam
So glad we did not give THEM ANY MONEY

I JUST GOT ANOTHER PHONE CALL FROM [redacted] FROM A [redacted] WAS DEFINATELTY PHISHING BECAUSE WHEN I SAID MYSELF AN DWIFE WERE NOT INTERESTED HE ASKED FOR OTHER PEOPLES PHONE NUMBERS AND WHY WE DIDNT WANT TO SAVE ON TRAVEL. I THEN PROCEEDED TO Ask for full NAME OF COMPANY AND ADDRESS AS THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO PROVIDE BY LAW WHEN ASKED AND WAS TOLD THEY DONT DO THAT---REALLY? THEN I TOLD THEM TO STICK TRAVEL WHERE SUN DONT SHINE AND HUNG UP JUST AFTER GIVING SEVERAL QUOTES FROM Revdex.com AND OTHER SITES OF IT BEING A SCAM---THEY STILL HAD NERVE TO ASK FOR MORE PEOPLES NUMBRS " SO THEY'D BELIVE NO CAM" SERIOUSLY!!
