Review: [redacted] son of owner [redacted] told me back in March of 2015 that if I deposit money into his account he will book my Cabo hotel and airline ticket. Which I deposited money into his account. Well that trip never happened because something came up and [redacted] said he would return the money back to me. In September I went to India and needed my flight changed and gave [redacted] my credit card no. He made his own charges on it and booked flights for himself and charged over $3,000 on it. which my bank refunded me some part of money. When I confronted American Tours and Travel [redacted] said it's not his charges, he has nothing to do with it and contact [redacted]. I contacted [redacted] who has been giving me a run around ever since October and not giving me my refund.Desired Settlement: I need my refund from this company and not ever do business with them. My refund totals out to be $1600

This is to explain as per the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted].Complainant is saying in complaint that she contacted [redacted] for her travel plans. She never contacted my office for her travel plans nor she submitted any funds to American Travel and Tours. Complainant further says she deposited the money in [redacted]'s account ( not in American Travel and Tours account).Hence complainant is dealing with someone outside the office and who is not working for my office.It's purely her dealing which has nothing to do with my office. I am in business since 1993. We at American Travel and Tours take care of our clients for their needs in travel.[redacted] is my son he is an adult but my office has nothing to do with what he does. My office cannot be held liable as no transaction took place in my office or into my business account.We have checked our official receipts for cash and checks no such funds were ever received.

I am rejecting this response because: Per [redacted] claiming that he is still employed by American Tours and Travels and at the time of my purchase he was employed by american tours and travels. If he wasn't working for them..how did I get my ticket issued. Please see attachment for the ticket that was issued by [redacted] employed by American Tours and Travels.

I am replying to you that complainant is not telling all the truth. She called me to do the date change, I only told her that date change is not possible for the amount she was saying to change it with. I also offered her if she can be flexible in dates then I might be able to do her date change with same amount. She insisted on a particular date where the airline did not have the seat available in the inventory for the class of service available. She insisted that [redacted] said he could do it, only then I told her she can try talking to [redacted] but it won't happen. After all she ended up buying a new ticket.We are bound by the rules and regulations set by the airlines and the Federal Aviation administration so therefore we can only do what is right. Complainant's family circle is continues to do business with us and uses our services in travel needs. They call the office and they come to the office. Whenever somebody is making deals outside my office whoever so it may be even if it is my son, my office cannot be held responsible for it. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: American Tours and Travels is lying about the whole thing. I called [redacted] to change my return date from India to USA. His words exactly that you purchased from [redacted] so talk to him. So I called [redacted] to change the date. My return date was pretty flexible. [redacted] is lying that I told him a specific date. Well [redacted] told me that he will change the date and it would be $300 that Emirates charges which I already knew that. So he ended up changing the date for me after giving me a run around for almost two weeks. Little that I know that He charged me for the full fare of the ticket because American Tours and Travels are incompetent people and lie at every chance they get including the biggest liar is his own son [redacted]. Who made unlimited charges on my credit card after I gave him my card no. to charge $300 only to change the return date. Well after he supposedly changed the date it was again issued by American Tours and Travels and they are the one that charged me wrong. So I need my money back from American Tours and Travels and His own son who is still living with him and pretending or actual working at American Tours and Travels. [redacted] is stating that my extended family is still buying tickets from him which is not true. everyone know who and what kind of business they are running and my family is not doing any business with him anymore especially after I told my whole family about the way they treated me.

Review: I purchased 2 tickets for me and my wife from American Travel & Tours for $2,742 total on November 1st by [redacted] credit card for a trip to Fiji on November 21st for a wedding. I got sick within the last week before flying out and was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. After I got discharged I called the American Tour agent [redacted] to alert him that I won’t be able to fly on the 21st due to my sickness and that I would like to cancel my flight and get a refund. He told me he will only refund me if I get a doctor’s note proving I was admitted to the hospital and unwell. I went to my doctor and got a signed note from her which is attached along with the rest of my documents. When I got to his office with the note he had changed his mind and told me he will not give me a refund but a year time to book a flight to Fiji again. The wedding that I was supposed to attend is already over and I have no desire to go to Fiji again.Desired Settlement: I want for him to keep his word and refund my money for a total of $2,742.

Mr. [redacted] contacted our office on or about Sep. 1st 2015 to reserve airline tickets. Upon verifying passengers names, passport expiration date and airline rules, tickets were issued. On November 19th 2015 Mr. [redacted] contacted us stating he was unwell and decided not to use the tickets. We recived a doctors note on Nov. 20th 2015 stating the passenger was hospitalized on Nov. 16th. On Dec. 1st we submitted a refund request to [redacted] and followed up. Mr. [redacted] spoke with our Agency he was explained that refund request was submitted and waiting for a reply. He did ask what the chances were for a full refund, since he has returned to work and his medical Doctors will not extend his disability status. we explained him according to Airline rules tickets are not refundable. He requested we keep trying and will contact back in 2 weeks.On or about April 4th, 15 [redacted] stated refund was not allowed. (attached 3) Mr [redacted] visited our office and copy of Airline decision was printed for him.Thank you for your time and attention into the above matter. [redacted]
