I hired them to clean my beach lot on a small lake. They gave myneighbor and I quotes for the work to be done. I said "OK" then theyarrived to do the job and said "Oh it's going to be more I said "Oh well,Alright" Long story short....They never completed the job. Called andemailed many, many times and even spoke to them. Said they wouldsend a crew to finish, they never did. My neighbor and both agree wewould never use them again. I hired American-Treeservice in the fall of last year. I saw an ad on Angie's List for a service of three professional tree cutters for 8 hours for $1,299.00. It sounded like a fair deal, so I hired them. There were to cut down three trees in my yard. They finally showed up a bit over two hours late on the day we had contracted for. Then they began to work cutting down the trees. They were unable to finish the job. They worked at three trees and had them half cut down. They never attempted to do anything with any of the wood and left it scattered in the yard. While they were still here, I asked for them to come back and finish the job. They refused saying it was too far to make it worth their while. It was dark out when they left (over an hour less than we had contracted for).( They finally did send me a refund for an hour of their time, months later.) The next morning I noticed that they had left two huge tree stumps (not from my property at all!) dumped on the outskirts of my yard. I contacted them right away and they told me to send pictures. I sent pictures. [redacted], the man who was working the phone at the time, assured me he would talk to his men and find out what happened. He never got back to me. Many phone calls and emails received no response. Months went by. I tried to call and found that the phone was disconnected. Then, I happened to see the same ad on Angies List (where they have an A rating, obviously ignoring many negative comments from myself as well as others). I was able to get the phone number. Now, it seems, [redacted] is manning the phone. I contacted him and he tells me they didn't leave the stumps at all and he will do nothing about it, end of discussion. So, I am assuming that I will have to take the matter to small claims court. I thought you should know about their shoddy business practices. I am at a loss of what to do at this point. It will cost me a great deal to have the work finished and the stumps (which they dumped illegally) removed.Product_Or_Service: tree cutting servicesDesired SettlementI want my money refunded in order to hire a company that will remove their garbage and finish the tree work.
