Review: I was in on 7/28/12 to have a hitch installed on my vehicle (on the driver side). After the installation, I notice that my driver side brake light would repeatedly stop working. The first incident occurred about one month after installation. My vehicle is a luxury foreign vehicle, so it would constantly alert me, that I had no brake light. The first 10 times it happened, I replaced the brake bulb, but they would blow out in a week. This was annoying and very costly. Then I realized that something is horribly wrong because after a while, the brake lights were blowing out in two days. I contacted the company to advise them of this. Finally, the bulbs would not work after being replaced, so I replaced the bulb socket several times and they too showed signs of burn out. After the installation, I had moved to Florida, so when I took a trip back to Virginia, I made contact with the company again to take the vehicle in. I took the vehicle in and they tested the equipment and said that everything was fine. I advised them to remove the equipment, so I could determine if this was the cause. They did and charged me to remove the equipment, even after being aware that I could have defective equipment and had a problem. The mechanic did suggest that sometimes the black box can "go out" and stop working, but never confirmed. I feel my problem was placed on the back burner and for the money I paid to have the hitch installed; I had to have the lighting/wiring removed. I was told that if I wanted to tow again, I would have to pay to have it put back on. Needless to say, since the removal of the equipment, I have not had any problems with my driver rear brake light. The equipment was removed approximately two months ago.Desired Settlement: I would like some sort of compensation for the mishap. Either a full refund or partial.
