Review: American Unlimited was sent to our home for a 3rd time under warranty. On this visit the technician repaired the same problem with a spare part [redacted] had sent me since the part kept going bad. The technician had to clean up all the water leakage in the refrigerator in order to replace the part. He then reported to the warranty that he found no problem. He gave me a blank work order and gave the warranty company a different work order with it stated no problem found. Outright falsified documentation. Therefore the warranty company is saying that is a new problem and I have to start again even though it is the 5th time for the same problem. While here I tried to get the technician who only could say "I'm just the technician" to sign the food loss form but only would say "I'm just the technician" and wouldn't sign. Therefore I could not get food reimbursement from the warranty company even though the warranty company is well aware that you can only replace the part after the refrigerator has been unplugged and brought to room tempature. That was the 2nd time he wouldn't sign one. The first time was in August.Desired Settlement: American Unlimited needs to reimburse me the cost of the refrigerator $1009.12+ two food loss reimbursements of $240/ea for a total of $1489.12. Or the only other thing they can do is tell the warranty company that they OUTRIGHT LIED just trying to get another service call out of it to get paid yet again. They are FRAUDS.

This decision is based on the facts and rules we abide by. In detail — we hold no responsibility purchasing back defective units, your extended warranty does. Therefore, such requests should be directed directly to the extended warranty company you’re currently being serviced by, not us. Same applies to the food loss program, your extended warranty company may or may not have such policy in place. Please check your contract for details. In addition, our company has no legal responsibility to reimburse customers for food loss due to appliance malfunction. As for falsifying documents, as you claim, we have evidence other than what was mentioned in your correspondence. We were asked by you to alter our reports in your favor, so that the appliance can be exchanged rather than repaired.Shall you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
