I am a local mother and professional that lives in the Mountain Brook areaI came in today and was greeted very professionally by most of the staffWhen it came to the PA, at first I was greeted professionally and with kindnessHowever, when the doctor came in, she was very abrupt, kept her mask on and was very limited to any questions or communicationShe asked if I wanted daytime or night time cough syrup for my walking pneumoniaI told her night time due to my incessant coughing all night longShe then wrote me a prescription, which I took to my local pharmacyBefore I left, I asked the nurse which pharmacy I was to go to, because I only told them "Publix" when asked at the time I heard the nurse ask the PA, "The patient is asking which pharmacy to go to" to which the PA rudely responded "the pharmacy she told us"Then the nurse told her, she only told them Publix, not which particular PublixWhen I got to my local pharmacy, I was embarrassed to be told that Dr.Ernest had called after I had left the Urgent Care facility and canceled my prescription to nighttime cough medicine, and was told to use over-the-counter medication instead(Which I have obviously been using for the past three days) This was embarrassing to say the leastWhy ask me which medicine I needed, if you are then going to call the pharmacy that I use on a regular basis for my entire family and tell them not to give that medication to me for reasons unknownI am more upset about the treatment from DrE (before the embarrassment at the pharmacy)
I was advised by many to go to Brookwood right down the street instead of Montclair Urgent Care, should have listened to that advice and will from now on
The nursing staff was wonderful, I hate that a few "doctors" give the rest of the establishment such a bad name
Brookwood will surely run them out of business soon
