Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted]

Our patient came into our offices not wearing contacts and requested an exam to refit and type of lens that was more suitable to his intermittent wearing schedule .We did refit and changed the Rx.and type of lens from monthly to daily throw away. Our patient then requested us to release a Rx for
his old lenses in his new prescription which we never saw him inWe can't do that unless we see the lenses physically on his eyesWe recommended that he come in in which case we would provide trail lenses in the new prescription based on his old lenses design.Once followed up with us seeing the lenses on his eyes we will be more than happy to provide his Rx as required by Federal lawProviding a contact lens Rx with out seeing the actual lenses on a patients eyes is Federaly illegal. our doctors have explained the standard of care required and our patient will pick up new lenses so we can evaluate them and provide his RxHe understands what is required.
It is our pleasure to refit our patient at no additional chargeAmerican Vision

We have responded directly to our patient and we believe she was completely satisfied with the resolution. Contacts and care were provided and we have updated our staff on this new plan our patient presented to us. Both patient and our staff were unaware of the existence of her program and have...

updated our computers to provide better direction for future patient requests.we have also contacted our insurance companies to clearly identify new programs as hey roll out as this plan was never use by us prior to this interaction. Of course we apologized to our patient and satisfied her requests both in service and pricing for her perchase. Of course the Revdex.com can verify all of the above with the patient and our offices. We were happy to clear his up and also have the opportunity to keep up with the ever changing insurance plans.

Thanks for the opportunity to make everyone happy!

Review: I went in Thursday 1/**, for my appointment with Dr. M[redacted] and had my eye exam at 6:30 PM. I am a little upset and disturbed because I was told that I had to use my eye insurance for the exam AND I am required to order the contacts through their company. I have found out from my insurance, this isn't true.

1) You can bill my medical insurance for the exam, you do not need to take it from my eye insurance, where I get $250 towards everything (exam, contacts, glasses, etc.) The eye insurance is an additional benefit. (Victoria the OM at the place is unwilling to do this, even after speaking with insurance at [redacted])

2) I do not have to buy contacts from them. First, I was told that they match [redacted], which they do not (and I communicated this with Dr. M[redacted] when I called back at 7:30 PM). They charge $52/box and they are charging $60/box. Also, I have found another Vision supplier that charges $35/box, which is obviously significantly less than what you or [redacted] charges.

I was charged tonight $155 for my entire purchase (Exam and 5 boxes of contacts). I am truly upset and disturbed by the way this process was handled and the dishonesty that communicated. I expect that they will not order me the contacts at this time, as well as I will receive reimbursement to my credit card for the $155.

Victoria the OM called my insurance and they told her (supposedly Allen) that I have to buy everything there. I then had a conference call with Victoria and the [redacted] insurance rep, Jean, who explained to Victoria that the $250 covers the exam (where I get certain discounts) and that I do not have to buy the contacts from them. They just have to submit the claims for the exam to my insurance and will be reimbursed. I can buy my contacts anywhere. In response to this, Victoria said they have a no refund policy and I could have "store credit". How is this possible when I didn't want to buy the contacts from them anyway? I have no idea how many other people they have taken advantage of, but this is a poor way to run a business and you do not tell customers they have to buy something from you, when it isn't true. AND THEN when they catch you in the lie (with a witness from insurance who documented everything) you then say you can't refund. Ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I need to be refunded the $155.00 immediately.

Review: I purchases eye glasses from Ameican vision. The frames on the eyeglasses broke twice. On the third visit which was April **, 2014 I went to the store and they told me would order new frames free of charge. I was called on May *, 2014 and was told my frames were ready. I went back to the store on May *, 2014 to get the replacement. The [redacted] asked how did the last frame break. I told him I honestly did not know. He took the eyeglasses from me to put the lenses into the new frames. During this process at some point the left lens got a crack in it. I noticed that while he was trying to take the lenses out he seemed to have some difficulty. At one point he took one lens over to where the new frames were. I thought it was strange and then he went back to the old frames and got the other lens. He put the glasses on me. I looked in the mirror and noticed something in th lens.. I thought maybe it was the protector guard that is by the nose but then he told me that there was a crack in the lens. I know that the crack was not there when I handed him my glasses the first time. I told him this and he then said "Do you think I did that?" I told him the crack was not there when I walked in that store. I asked if he was going to do something about the situation and I was told no. I asked him 3 times and each time I was told no. I was so frustrated that I did not know what to do at this point so I told him I was going to report him and then I walked out.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement pair of eyeglasses or a refund.
