American Walk in Tubs

Review: I have tried numerous times to get this organization to respond to my request to have the walk-in tub repaired. They have made me "jump through" multiple loops to try and justify the repair. I have provided over and over again, all the requested documentation and they told me someone (a plumber) who worked with them was going to get in touch with me. They have lied and said the representative who sold me the tub is now in prison and they have no responsibility for the product warranty. Each time they requested a document showing the warranty, I produced it. Even though some of their requests were up and beyond what they should have requested. I want the tub fixed. It was almost $10k to get it installed and in working order. It hasn't worked for months now. I have a dibiltating back problem. Review: We purchased a walk in tub for my mother. As part of the agreement, they were supposed to pull permits. At completion of the project when I asked for a copy of the permit, they could not produce the permit. The balance due on the tub was 7350 plus 800 in upgrades. The owner ([redacted]) wanted me to pay $6000.00 of the balance due and they would work on permits in the next two to three weeks.

Also, two additional handles were included in the contract which were not done. No shower bar or liner were installed or provided.

I told him the project was not complete until permits were pulled and signed off so I did not send payment. He made indirect threats that he wanted to pull out the tub and other comments and the threat of putting a lean on my moms house due to non-payment.Desired Settlement: Provide me with permits that are signed off and complete the job.
