American Wallworks Reviews (4)

At the request of the buyer, I hired American Wallworks to complete several inspection resolution items for a residential real estate transaction The scope of work included drywall, stone, and stucco repair Though MrSterling M [redacted] did complete the job quickly, I would not recommend this business for the following reasons: 1) Price: I was charged $1,for hours of work to replace about cracked cultured stones (and I provided the stones) I paid an additional $3,for stucco repair that took less than days and which I had a similar quote for $1, I was taken advantage of due to these repairs being part of a real estate transaction When I confronted MrM [redacted] about the high prices and suggested a compromise of $2,for the stucco work alone, he contacted the buyer's agent and erroneously told them he had been fired from the job (which was a lie)2) Quality: The drywall repairs that were completed were extremely poor quality Cracks were left and the tape was not evenly covered Additionally, a very thick strip (1"+) of exterior caulk was applied where stucco and stone met The color of this caulk was not even close to either the stone or the stucco color The resulting effect was (in my opinion, as well as all those I've asked) an eyesore3) Professionalism: With both the drywall and stone repairs, the American Wallworks crew did not clean up after themselves The drywall repairs were in the garage, and mud was left on the ground and on a rug that was next to the work area After the stone repair, some of the dust was partially washed off my deck, but since it wasn't completely cleaned, the result was a thin film on everything I never have the expectation that contractors will leave things spotless, but this was much worse that before the crew started Finally, the owner entered my home without permission on several occasions This was completely unacceptable
