Dear Sir,
I have reviewed the complaint filed by [redacted] and have the
following response. As per store policy we offer a full refund on the return
of regular price merchandise or a credit note on...

that it is returned within 14 days of purchase. This policy is printed out
on our receipts as well as posted on signage by the cash. We have reprinted
Mr [redacted]'s receipt and have included it herein.
Mr [redacted] did make his purchase on Feb 23rd and then returned them on
March 13th which is 19 days and not 13 days as he has written. He first
approached the store clerk who, following our policy, explained to him that
he had surpassed the time frame to return the shorts. Hearing his
dissatisfaction, she called the store manager to once again explain the
return policy. In spite of the tardiness of his return, she took it upon
herself and offered a store credit as a compromise. Still unhappy, Mr
[redacted] became [redacted] and upon not getting what he demanded he [redacted]
[redacted] at my store manager and left.
We have a fair and reasonable no hassle 14 day return policy. It exists to
service our clients and I am sure you can understand must be followed by our
staff. Mr [redacted] attempted to [redacted] in order
to get what he wanted and disregarded the overture made by the manager in
order to appease him. [redacted]
I only take responsibility in my failure to return his call. I did get the
message on a very hectic day and I forgot. That being said, nothing would
have changed. We did everything possible to satisfy Mr [redacted] within the
policies set. I'm sure you can appreciate that the policy is both reasonable
and necessary and exists exactly for these situations. My staff handled
everything properly and respectfully under the circumstances.

Thank you for investigating this matter on my behalf and on behalf of consumers generally concerning [redacted] and for sharing the owners response with me.

As noted on the receipt the goods were purchased February 23rd. 14 business days later would be March 14th. I returned the goods as per the receipt on March 13th-one day before 14 business days after the purchase, after being out of the country until then. The full price merchandise was unworn, the tags were still affixed to the garment and my receipt was provided. The owners assertion that I was "Tardy" in returning the merchandise is false as indicated by the evidence (receipt). I returned the product within 13 business days of purchase.
[redacted] states I was [redacted] to his staff the meaning of which is "[redacted]", this also is a misstatement of fact. I was displeased and disappointed but not [redacted] that his company would not honour their return policy. [redacted] misrepresents the facts again when he says I [redacted] at the store manager [redacted]. In fact I[redacted] still in it's bag on the table at the other store. The manager wasn't even present.
It's untrue again when [redacted] says I [redacted]. Not at any time did I use any [redacted].
We'll have to give [redacted] the benefit of the doubt when he says he forgot to return my call and that he was too busy. Further, [redacted]s assertion that he did everything possible to appease me is false. My request is a very simple one. Return my money that you owe meas your receipt says you will. Your head office staff ([redacted]) told me that I was lucky that they would even provide an in-store credit because they didn't need to do anything for me what so ever.
These are the facts- the receipt provides empirical evidence that I met the return policy. Lets ensure [redacted] does the right thing please.
