Our Warranty reads: "The warranty is
limited to providing repaired or replacement parts and does not cover or
include any labor cost. Neither American Window and Glass Inc. nor its
distributors will be responsible for any cost incurred in the removal or
reinstallation of the window or any part or component of the window. This
warranty does not cover in any manner breakage of glass or torn screens."
The windows were purchased in May, 2001. November 2007, there was a warranty
claim. Yes, we repaired it at no cost. At times, we at American Wholesalers do
more than the warranty states; we try to provide service to each customer the
best we can. July 2014, a warranty claim, at this time, per our warranty, these
2 replacement insulated glass units are a no charge. You can come to any 1 of
our 7 locations and pick them up at no charge. Please give us a week to get
them to the location of your choice. These 2 insulated glass units are at our
Evansville Indiana location. If you choose our technician to do the repair and
to travel to your home, that is over 2 hours away one way, $75 does not cover
our cost. We try to service each customer the best we can; by grouping this
warranty claim with other work in that area on a scheduled day, trying to keep
the cost down to the customer. There is no "trickery" with our
warranty or products. The window sash frame is now obsolete, but it can still
be repaired over 13 years later. As with all successful manufactures, we must
continue to improve our products for the needs of our customers with energy efficiency
and to meet and exceed the rigorous standards set by "Energy Star",
the "National Fenestration Rating Council" (NFRC), and the
"American Architectural Manufacturers Association" (AAMA).
