Great company to work with! They came out right away to give an estimate, explained their product and pricing, and followed up to me quicklyPrior to installation, I met the owner, and the installation crew leader, all of whom explained exactly how the job would goThey did the job in one day, replacing a 17x foot bay window in the living roomCrew was great, and windows look beautiful, just like originals (only better!)I will call definitely call them again when I'm ready for the rest of the windows to be replaced

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***;
I will accept the offer on two conditions: 1) the work that was paid for is finally completed in a timely mannerIt’s now March 10, 2017; I’ve been trying to resolve his work issues since January 14, 2) the work is completed correctly this time. I reserve the right to file additional Revdex.com complaints to resolve issues as this company only responds when pushed by Revdex.com.Contrary to what the business says, I have attempted to contact them many times to resolve the issues, only after my initial complaint to Revdex.com did they attempt repairs. Further, it took the company almost weeks to finally respond to Revdex.com of my rejection of their attempted repair work, only after being pushed by Revdex.com to respondWhen I contracted with the company to install windows, as part of the job I specifically pointed out the 2nd floor windows needed to be caulked due to past problems, all other windows could be inspected and caulked as needed. When the company finally did the window caulking (after Revdex.com complaint), the company appears to have sent two junior people for the job, each using different color caulking, now I have windows with mis-matching caulk colors. I’ll have to live with this, I don’t want the company to repair this as they will do more damage than it’s worth. However, I do expect the company to caulk the 2nd floor windows as agreed and paid for. They primarily caulked the first floor windows, they didn’t caulk the 2nd floor windows that were the main problem. Initially I was pleased when I thought all the work was completed and was told the window caulking was completed. It was only after I inspected their work in the day light that I noticed the window caulking was not done. After this, it has been a challenge to get the company to respond or take action.

In the past year we have contracted SEVERAL times with this customer and every time we did windows they loved us and ordered more we have never had a problem. The last contract was for window we sold the deal days later we sent out our installer to do the final measure ordered the
custom made window and that was itweeks later the homeowner contacted us and said that he didn't need the window anymore and could he have his monies back, We informed him that it was to late and the window was going to be delivered in a week and that we could refund him the difference for the labor portionThe bottom line is we just never got back together it is our busy season and for that I apologizeAs of today we are issuing a refund for the amount of $250.00 that is more than fair. Thanks Donald ***

Very disappointed with service. No one from the company came out to check the work and that the correct windows installed. Also called to have 3 more windows installed in the garage but no one even returned my call or email.

There was a simple mis communication the work has been completed as of today 2-13-2017 it was caulking on a few windows not installation of windows, the homeowner paid us in full because he was HAPPY with our work. We have been in communication with him the entire time so that's not true also we...

have had some weather issues and when it comes to service work we try and fit this type of stuff in when we are in the area. [redacted]American Window And SIidng Inc

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/03/06) */
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/03/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When the drip cap was replaced, all leaking stopped coming into the home. The installation...

of the drip cap was absolutely successful. The HOA had it in their plans to replace all of the roofs in our association anyway, and so the timing of it was coincidental. In addition, the prior leaks never once affected our patio door. This, to me, indicates a different problem. This particular complaint stems from ice that had built up at the base of the patio door. Once that ice melted, the leaking had stopped and the floor dried up. According to AWS's response, [redacted] states that it is their procedure "to lay a bead of caulk between the subfloor and the patio door...to prevent water from entering in under the door track." While this may be their procedure, it was not done when this door was installed. [redacted] was sent out after we had incurred the damages, at which time he inserted both the expanding foam insulation (another step that was missed during the installation)as well as the caulk sealant. We have had a separate personal contractor confirm the source of the leak as coming from inadequate installation of the patio door. In addition, our homeowner's insurance adjuster independently confirmed the same. The point of this complaint is that regardless of where the water came from to cause the ice build up, it should not have entered the home. THERE WAS NO CAULK IN PLACE to keep the moisture out until [redacted] had come out, post leak, to correct it. I do not agree with the notion that leaks is a direct result of a roofing issues, as we have not had any leaking at all since the roof was replaced. But were going off of the visual evidence. Attached is a photo of the base of the patio door, before it was corrected, which depicts the patio door and the gap containing the backerrod foam cord. Note that there is no bead of caulk to seal out moisture. Therefore, it makes sense that a proper installation of the door would have prevented the melting ice from gaining access into our home.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 37, 2014/06/18) */
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2014/03/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Accepting the response would indicate that we were happy with the way the business has handled the resolution of this complaint. Was the problem corrected? Yes. It was even resolved in a timely manner. The installer was very polite every time he came out. So not everything about our experience has been negative. But the response we were looking for as a result of what happened was a simple and respectful "sorry" for the trouble and stress this has caused. The door was improperly installed, and it caused us over $1600 in monetary damages. Can I consider this Revdex.com thread resolved? Yes, but unfortunately I cannot say that we have been happy with the quality of services provided. And the attempted financial recovery by our insurance agency is now beyond our control. But to say that nothing can be done to make us happy is false. Just admit to the mistake and apologize...That's really all this boils down to. I hope that AWS can learn from this occurrence and know that when errors are made by this business's employees, as few as I'm sure they are, they allow themselves room to admit errors and use the experience to help the company grow. I know that this sale is not the way AWS typically handles themselves with their customers. And for that reason, we won't be relaying the details of this complaint to the person who referred them to us. I'm just saddened that we have been accused of being impossible to please, when the services provided were poorly completed upon installation.

BEAUTIFUL WORK. DID EVERYTHING THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. VERY HONEST PEOPLE. GREAT PRICE.

Bottom line is I have always communicated with this customer mostly via txt and when the job was originally completed he was extremely satisfied and told me that it was a pleasure working with us and that he fights corporate America every day and it is pleasant to work with a company that does what they say they will do. Anyway the contract states that we will CHECK all other windows and caulk WHERE NEEDED.We did that if he would like ALL WINDOWS CAULKED WE WILL COME BACK AND CAULK ALL WINDOWS TO MAKE HIM HAPPY. [redacted]

This was a pre existing condition and 3 years have passed by with LOTS OF RAIN AND SNOW and now it is leaking again, It should have leaked right away if the project was done wrong, I have no problem sending a crew out to look at the issue but there is no proof that the door is leaking because of...

what we did. It was leaking previously to our installation and now 3 years later there is water coming in, might be from something else, this house was a forclosure and sat empty for a long time maybe leaking from gutters siding no idea, 99% of the time it is not from our doing again pre existing. [redacted]
