I am a homeless person earning $300 a month and am 70 years old. My eye sight is failing.Went to American Eye Care Center and asked if they accept my Medicare card. I didn't have to pay any thing at other places for previous eye exams. After a few days, I got a bill from them for $168. I went there and they asked me to pay a small amount monthly. They said medicare covers only 80%. I need some advice please. They said I was given a comprehensive exam which lasted not more than 5 minutes. Only on request, I got a prescription paper today. I feel let down.

I received the letter about the complaint regarding Mr.. He came in office on September 28,2019. He provided his information along with his Medicare insurance. He asked if we take Medicare, our respond was Yes and we also inform him that Medicare only cover 80% and patient responsibility will be 20% and we also inform him we will send claim to your insurance first and 20% will be billed it to you, he agreed. Now his insurance Medicare didn't reimburse the claim and it's the patient responsibility. I am also attaching the explanation of benefits/denied claim from Medicare.
