Recent stay on 9/25/20 to 9/27/20 in the themed "cave room". I was very excited when I booked my reservation, seeing the virtual tour of the room on youtube. However, when I got to the hotel and got into my room it was far from what was shown online.
-The steps leading into the hot tub were made of stone and fell completely off.
-The towels and bedding were stained, dirty and had holes in them, the toilet would not flush and did not work; as well as, the large table/stand that held the coffee pot and other items almost fell down on me. Also, the TV was not properly secured and very large, and almost fell off its stand when I turned it towards the bed.
-Around the room the decorations and stucco were broken and falling apart; chunks/pieces of stucco and wall chippings were on the floor and in the closet just lying there.
I asked almost immediately (within 10 minutes) to change rooms, and would have been fine with a regular room instead of a themed one if were unavailable, but was told that everything was booked, even though I did not see but 2 other guests during my whole stay. The conditions of this room were unsafe in multiple places and I felt extremely uncomfortable trying to use any of its amenities. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the hotel and its representation. I paid over $170.00 per night for the room and had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting motel regarding *** M. *** complaint. We already have responded to the guest via their online complaint. We do not have any refund policy after spending two nights. Guest wanted Jungle room but it was booked. Guest did not make any complaint during their two nights stay. We have been renting this room and we do not have any issue for toilet. Jacuzzi works well. Walls are decorated with thermo coal and are delicate. For the milky water please see below from the water district website www.hdwd.com

3. Why is my water cloudy sometimes?

Cloudy water is caused by tiny air bubbles and is completely harmless. If you pour a glass of cloudy water, the air will rise and dissipate within a few minutes. The water is safe to drink and meets all quality standards.

I am rejecting this response because:
The business did not address my concerns/ complaints. I never mentioned cloudy water to them personally or in the complaint with Revdex.com, and do/did not care about that. I also did not want the jungle room, but was just looking for a themed room in general when I first called to enquire about their property and room styles days before I booked the room.I am not satisfied with their response as it did not address ANY of my concerns, and it does not matter if they rent out this room continuously as maybe others have not complained about it. Also, it did not address that the conditions that I stated were unsafe and in my opinion should not be rented out at all until all of the concerns in my initial complaint are addressed, especially the ones that were safety related. Also, as I mentioned previously in my complaint to the Revdex.com: I did complain about the condition of the room almost immediately (within 10 minutes) of seeing the room and asked for another room, but was told all their rooms were booked. I did then complain about the toilet the next morning as well as when I was turning in the key at the end of my stay (about the toilet and other conditions of the room specifically with the wife of the owner or whoever she was). Furthermore, I am only asking for a refund or some financial accommodation now because when I asked about changing rooms when we got there my request was denied. It was clear to me at the time of denial that all the rooms were not booked, but that the host did not want to accommodate my request or thought that it was unjust for some reason.

Thank you for contacting the hotel regarding this matter. We have three rooms under theme 1 category and whoever requested first we reserved the room for him. Guest has requested to change the room and his request was denied because two other rooms are assigned to other guests. We have kept the TV loose as guests can watch from bed and jacuzzi. We do not have any refund policy but we can offer 30% off to your next stay if you book direct with hotel.
