On a Thursday afternoon in October 2017, I spoke with a sales person about a vehicle, and she told me that the company does not conduct credit checks for any vehicle under ten-thousand dollars, and I could put down a three-hundred down-payment. After receiving this information, I was interested in an Eclipse, she regretfully told me that the car was out of my price range, and that the following Monday, they were to receive a 2005 Honda Civic , and I would receive a call. I agreed. That following Monday, I had yet to receive a call, so I called her, who told me they were cleaning the vehicle, and she would call me when the cleaning is completed. But, CarMart never called me. After a few days flew by, I called the location and asked them, yet again, if the vehicle was ready. This time, she informed me that they had to send the car back because of electrical problems, but they had another car, 2002 Jeep Cherokee, to come in the following day and want me to look at it, so I did. On October 31, 2017, I went to the lot planning to buy the car, however, instead of buying the car, I left empty-handed. After giving the employee my information, again, she claimed that she entered my name incorrectly and that a third-party company that they affiliate with needed verify my information, due to the employee's negligence. While the company was verifying my information, I inspected the vehicle, and not only was the vehicle ill-kempt, but the 'check engine' light was on, so after investigating the car's interior, I waited the next 2 1/2 hours for an answer. An hour before the store's closing, the employee told me that the store conducted a credit check and although I was denied the car, I could put down an additional four-hundred dollars (seven hundred total), or trade something in (a refrigerator, or the like) and the car would be mine. After receiving this information, I declined. This company conducted a credit check without my consent, and engages in false business advertising and ethics, for this store does not adhere to their 'buy here, pay here' advertisement. They violated the law. This CarMart location needs to be investigated and shut down. This location is in Tuscumbia, AL.

We have been doing business with carmart in MTN home AR since 2015 every car has broken down or had issues and we couldn't afford to go elsewhere finally said screw it and gave the car back upon doing that they are threatening to sue us they have received over 20,000 from us I'm done

I purchased a vehicle from this company at the *** Location. I put $500.00 down and shortly after the first payment was made the transmission went out. The company address my concerns and immediately offered us any other vehicle ,we ended up finding a replacement at the *** location. This vehicle started having issues just one week after purchase all check engine lights came on. We took the car to their shop several times and each time they offered no rental car for the inconvenience, and the lights always come back on after a week. I finally said I would return the car.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like to return this car and to be provided a full refund. I no longer trust doing business with them nor trust the vehicles to be safe.

told to go to another new arrangements. When I got there was told that I needed to bring my car to *** and leave it until GM got back Thursday.
I have not worked since 8/20/17, I didnt request a new payment schedule and even though I paid late, they still were paid. I am a college student and got a work study job that I started 9/7/17. Talked to a carmart rep on Monday, 9/11/17 and was told that since my payment was 11 days late and their office is closed by the time I can make it to ***, to go to the *** office at 5 pm so I went. But before I went by there I had previously called at 10 am and spoke to the assistant manager and was told that my account rep was late coming in, I called at 5:15 and asked to speak to the account rep again and was told that she was not on the lot but 3 minutes later when she was called by the lot in ***, she answered the phone. Funny thing is no one said anything about needing to come to *** before that. Then I was told by my account rep that the GM had overrode her decision and that I needed to come to *** by 6 mind you it was 5:30pm and I was 45 minutes away. So I asked if someone was going to stay until I get there and the account rep said the GM was gone Until Thursday and the assistant manager said that she was not going to stay, so I needed to come and park my car until Thursday and talked to the GM. I absolutely refused because I have classes and work that I have to be at. Had they told me earlier I would have went to *** in the beginning. It was their mistake not mine. Since then I went online and made my payment. So I am no longer behind but there is still issue of them resetting my payment dates to match my new payment schedule which is now once a month. I have already called their corporate office and made a complaint because this is not the first time that they have pulled this kind of stunt with me.

Desired Outcome

I am moving to *** and I want to have my account moved to the *** office because I have not been treated fairly at *** There is no doubt in my mind that there is some personal problems going on with them against me and i dont see it being resolved.

The CarMart that I have an issue with is in ***. I spoke with the Regional manager this morning and he has assured me that this issue will be resolved.
