We took our car to get tires we spent 520.00 then was told upon them giving us the car back that it was still undriveable suspension and wheel alignment issues and wouldn't drive forward.

America's Tire Company Response • Nov 12, 2019

Hello, The customer’s vehicle was brought to our Redding location via flat-bed tow truck following an accident. When it arrived our employees discovered that both the right side tires and wheels had been damaged in an accident. Both tires on the right side had damage to the sidewall and the wheels had Irreparable bends as a result of the impact. The two damaged tires were replaced in accordance with America’s Tire certificates for refund or replacement, (see website for details) and the customer was given credit of $244.00. The store applied additional discounts and credits totaling $133.20 to aid this customer due to their unforeseen situation. The initial inspection of the tires and wheels could not reveal the underlying damage to the suspension/alignment components mentioned in this complaint. When it was determined the vehicle had suffered additional damage from this accident, it was suggested to have the vehicle towed to a mechanical repair facility for inspection by a licensed professional. In a conversation following this event our Manager offered a refund of the two wheels ($108.98 each) as a form of further concession for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately our store manager has not since heard from this customer. At America’s Tire, we take tremendous pride in the service we provide to our customers and I believe that the actions described above align with our exceedingly high expectations of ourselves. Sincerely, *** Assistant Vice President America’s Tire

I am rejecting this response because:No one notifield me that my car had damages other than two blow outs. I should have received a phone call to see if I wanted to continue with the tires. It was not in an accident. I never saw a place of business send anyone off in such unsafe measures. All theY Said Was Take It To A Shop And MY Car Was Not DRIVEABLE, I Had To ToW It HOME. My Sister Came To THe Tire Shop And I Was Still Not Happy With The Tire Shops RESPONSE Which Was To TO We It Back To The TIRE Shop To Get My Old Tires THEN I Could Have My Money BACK, So No I Am Still Upset No One NOTIFIEd ME As To CONTINUE With NEW TIRES, No One Told Me There Was Damages. Not Sure How They Drove My Car Into The Tire Shop And The Parking LOT, It Will Not Drive For ME.

America's Tire Company Response • Nov 12, 2019

Hello,

The customer was promptly notified of the additional mechanical damage after it was discovered. To reiterate, the vehicle arrived via flat-bed tow truck and was non-operable from damage prior to arriving at our place of business. The vehicle was brought to our facility for tire and wheel service which was provided. After the tires and wheels were installed it was discovered that further damage had occurred. The request to return the vehicle to it’s previous state cannot be done as the tires and wheels were deemed irreparable from the incident that prompted this visit. Because the damage required mechanical repair beyond tire and wheel service, the customer was advised of safety concerns. At this time the customer was informed the vehicle would require further inspection and repairs. Further assistance regarding the mentioned damages may be available through the customers auto insurance carrier.

The credit mentioned by the customer is reflected on their purchase receipt ($244). All additional discounts are listed seperately and can be referenced on the purchase receipt as well. The customer has been advised of America’s Tire satisfaction guarantee and return policy.

SEEMS LIKE MOST REVIEWS ON YELP ARE EITHER 5 STARS or 1 STAR, there is a pattern. Shop commonly will not call you to inform you your special order tires are ready or not, nor will they remind you about a promotion or rebate you quality for?
Employees were very kind and courteous even having a huge line and backlog of customers. Store was clean, comfortable with fast internet available while waiting for service. While waiting for service, discussed with other customers about their experience with Americas Tires since this was my very first experience with them, everyone I talked with was very happy with their experiences.
The Rest of the story...
I made appointment for the installation of special order tires for my Hyundai Elantra with a promise date. A business day before my appointment I called in to verify that the tires had arrived and ready, and I got the 'I was going to call you' routine. Evidently, 'They' sent the wrong sized tires to the shop. I had a difficult time reconciling that 'THEY'is Americas Tire, but somehow the store employees separate themselves from the store and the warehouses where they get the their tires, Was not happy with the semantics of not taking ownership for the error. TO ME, THERE IS NO 'THEY', it's all Americas tires.
They said I can wait for the the correct tires to arrive next week or purchase more expensive or lesser quality tires. I asked for an equal or better tire at the promised price as I needed this car ready for selling it on the week end. They had no ears for my request. After a lot of encouragement, they finally gave me $6 off each of less quality tire but then charged me $3 more per tire for the certification. I was desperate and thankfully agreed.
Arriving at the shop, they installed my new tires quickly within an hour on a very busy day after the 4th of July, very professional and courteous. The store rep however NEGLECTED to give me nor remind me of the %15 rebate that I qualified for which was an important part of my purchasing the tires. I had to wait in line and have them print out the rebate info for me after my car was ready.
If it were not the sloppy error of not providing the tires I ordered, me having to call them first to discover the error, or forgetting to give me the rebate without me asking, I would have given this excellent shop 5 Stars. I gave them 1 star because I wanted you to read this review and benefit from my frustration. Give them a shop but be prepared for error.

One of the best places around for tires and if you get a nail in your tire. Quick, knowledgeable, and friendly.

HI have been unable to get rebate from America's Tire store. Bought four new tires with two rebates. One rebate received. The second rebate is not released.
Excuse after excuse, lies, phone numbers to call , easy web sites. Promises of two more weeks. Nobody knows how much it is supposed to be. First fifty dollars, then thirty dollars, then 25 dollars. It has been over 5 months. The purchase date was 7/27/2018. Today is 11/07/2018. Oh well be warned I guess.
Don't expect *** bank card rebate pretty much deception.
Throwing in the towel tired of the deception.
Don't shop America's Tire Discount Tire for the rebate.False.

I have contacted the customer to offer a cash refund for missing rebate. It will be double the original amount to make up for the hassle.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

On 6/3/2018 my TPMS light came on and indicated that a low tire pressure was detected. Upon inspection, I discovered that both my rear tries had a very low air pressure and had a screw lodged in both tires. On 6/20/2018 I took my vehicle in to get it serviced at the America's Tire branch in West Sacramento, CA. The tire technician (***) assessed both tires and assured me that both tires will be replace under warranty as both tires had a tread depth of 4/32nd of an inch. However, the technician stated that only one will be replaced under warranty and that I will have to pay out of pocket to replace the second tire without any reason given as to why the second one is not replaceable under warranty. After replacing both tires, I was approached by another technician who did not have his name visible and was interrogated as to why there is a screw in both of my tires and that he believes the screws were there due to vandalism which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. He then added that even though I am paying for an extended warranty on the new tires that were installed that I will not be able to get them repaired or replaced if another screw is discover later in the future, rendering the warranties that I paid $34.50 for virtually useless.

This is *** from the West Sacramento America's Tire Co. We have already contacted the customer. Both rear tires were down to 2/32's at their lowest points so we warrantied out one under customer satisfaction to help out the customer and had him buy the second.

My wife and I have bought tires from America's Tire for all of our cars since switching from *** many years back. We, not too long ago, bought her a fresh set of their premium brand, which came highly recommended due to their longevity and excellent warranty at 60k miles. They provided a couple of caveats: 1) you MUST make your rotations regular - which we made sure of, and 2) you can't, for example, drive over a curb or your tires get slashed and expect a new set. Well, 20k miles after our purchase, we go in for a rotation and are told that our front tires are wearing faster than we'd all hoped. I said, "no problem, we have the premium blend with a great warranty that you suggested. We've kept up on our rotations and car maintenance so we're good, right?". America's Tire decided that day not to honor the warranty and told us we'd need to buy all new tires and as a courtesy they would give us a partial credit back on the other three when we did purchase them. WHAT A SCAM! I demand answers, an apology to my wife for telling her she has a heavy foot (which is ridiculous!), and a new set of tires as per your warranty. I tried working this out in person twice, Sent someone on my behalf who is invested in the matter to talk to you, send messages to your corporate office via social media, and now I am writing you from the Revdex.com. Can someone with half a brain over there please help me out? I know money isn't the issue - the markup on tires, something everyone needs, is quite high.

Customer Response

Dear Revdex.com,

Thank you for providing consumer services so that we, too, can have a voice. After writing my complaint, I did receive communication from the manager of the store I received service from and we have worked out our issues with an acceptable resolution. The store manager, ***, was a pleasure to work with and has completely rectified the situation. Many thanks to him for single-handedly repairing the damage and for helping to restore my trust in the America’s Tire brand.

Regards

Excellent customer service!! I had a small nail in my tire, and I was loosing air. They fixed it, NO CHARGE. Their prices are very competitive, but it is their service that keeps me a loyal customer.

Went to americas tire store to get new tires on our ***. The business said the tires that we chose were available for their forth of july rebate special of 100.00. The money rebate would be sent to us via an "americas tire *** prepaid card".When we looked at our receiptwe noticed a charge for "refundreplacement " 23.60 totaling an amount of 94.40 charge added to the price on the tires. So it would appear to me they charged us for our rebate special and our actual rebate is for 5.60.Sounds like a bait and switch to meso I wanted to see how the Revdex.com felt about this.

America's Tire Company Response

To whom it may concern,

*** the store manager of our Auburn location reached out directly to *** to discuss the misunderstanding of what the charge was for. He explained that it is for the Certificate coverage on the tire, this provides 100% coverage for road hazard or defect. To my understanding Judi wanted to continue with the coverage, it is optional and can be refunded if she requests it to be. To our understanding this has been resolved and we just needed to better communicate what the charge was for. If there are any further questions please feel free to contact our regional office at *** or by email @ ***, Thank you.

Customer Response

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

False advertising :

They had advertised memorial day deals of $100 prepaid visa card mail-in rebate on set of four best tires. I had bought Michelin tire from them couple of years ago which wore out at 32000 miles but had 60000 miles warranty. When I took my car to them on 5/27/17, they did process the refund from the warranty but refused to give me the rebate on set of new four tires I was going to purchase. When I argued they even refused to give me any warranty credit too.

My point is that the advertisement dose not say that the promotion can not be combined with warranty mile refunds. It does not mentions any restrictions either. The money from warranty refund was actually my own money which Michelin was refunding because their tires did not last 60000 miles. Americas Tires should have given me the promotional rebate.

Thank you.

Sincerely
