It took "56" days to complete a closing on a property submitted on 8/1/17 with a closing date requested of 8/31/17. Calls went unanswered, text were sent the night before closing for additional information requested and given months before. Personal information was incorrect on legal forms, dates and times were given and then retracted. Was promised, FINALLY, we'd close on 9/25/17 at 9:30 a.m. - texts received that morning from Jason C for information after 9:30'? Told all through out the day we would close, but phone call after phone call kept changing. No one was sent to my buyer in Alabama, documents sent by Nick P were sent incorrectly. It was dealing with Frick and Frack!! Neither knew what to do to get the job done. No follow up skills, no personal interest in providing customer service. Very much a "I could care less attitude." I feel like I did most of the work I was paying them for. I still have no final paperwork, my wire transfer that should have been instantaneous ending up being 4 days!!'? Totally unprofessional, unapologetic, and unbelievable process. I've already told all the realtors I know if they value their reputation not to ever give work to these folks.
Billing Adjustment I feel I did more of the work to close the deal than Jason & Nick. I was the one who had to generate the phone calls, provide additional information (after already submitting it) deal with all the corrections and time delays on their end due to their lack of detail. I had my vacation destroyed due to their not giving the notary the correct packet and had to get off a plane, download, print, sign, scan and FedEx information. Had to wait 4 days for $To this day I have no hardcopy of my documents.

Americas Title Corp has been in business nearly 21 years with a presence in over 25 states. We have closed over six billion dollars in transactions.
While each of our offices are independently run we do offer staff to oversee the transition process of our newest closers. Jason Cruz in our Miami office worked with Nick P while processing Ms. A's File.
There were delays in this transaction. Hurricane Irma passed through Florida on September 10th which played a large part in delaying this closing. In the weeks after Irma much of the state was without power and many lenders froze all lending until the damage could be assessed.
I have attached correspondence from the lender stating on September 19th they were not ready to close.
As a title company we do not control the closing date. We are required to stay impartial in the transaction. Although we strive to make every closing a smooth transaction sometimes outside factors do play a part in this process.
All matters specific to this consumer complaint have been addressed. I have reached out to Ms. A to apologize for her experience. We have also refunded her closing fee.
I have attached a copy of our owner information sheet which was completed by Ms.. The marital status is marked Married. The owner information sheet is used to help in the preparation of the Title Documents.

My contract requested a closing date of 8/31/17. If this date was met we would not have any delay due to the hurricane. I received a response from the title company and my closing fee was returned.
I am satisfied with this result.
