This is one of the worst run organizations I've come across Very simple coordination matters with minimal effort required have gone on for weeks without any resolution If one has a choice in HR related admin matters, I would strongly avoid Ameriflex

The ONLY reason we continue to deal with Ameriflex is because our dental/vision acctis pre-taxThat being said, even then it is hardly worth it For example, my son's orthodontist established a plan to align his bite with braces The plan was very detailed, listing the duration of treatment, the amount of each payment, as well as any additional information which may lengthen or shorten the treatment I submitted copies of the plan in it's entirety , and called to confirm receiptI asked to speak with a manager to confirm that Ameriflex would expect monthly payments to the orthodontist for the duration of the treatmentI was assured that I would not have to submit the treatment information again, as they would notate my file Every month, Ameriflex would request additional information from me regarding the monthly payment to the orthodontistEverySingleMonth Recently, Ameriflex wanted detailed treatment information from a walk in clinic that had closedUnable to retrieve the details myself, a Blue Shield agent offered to include Ameriflex on a way call, so that Blue Shield could share the treatment codes directlyAfter attempting to clarify the office visit (unsuccessfully), the Ameriflex representative was released from the callThe Blue Cross representative simply said she felt sorry for me if that was a experience with Ameriflex customer serviceIndeed it was Ameriflex confiscates the customers money, then does everything possible to avoid any payouts whatsoeverI wish I were exaggeratingThis will be the last year we subject ourselves to such treatmentIf I could choose "NEVER" when asked if I would AMERIFLEX, I wouldI wouldn't wish this on anyone

I went from full time status to per diem status with my employer and was offered COBRA benefits. I elected dental and was billed (post tax/non payroll) for FSA as well. When I recognized this I called and was mis-directed by the customer service rep. The end result I [redacted] forfeit my payroll deposited funds. I believe this advice was divisive and in poor business faith. I feel as though I was deliberately led away from my funds by bad advice. I called many times to rectify this situation, beginning with the day of my first payment. The information was inconsistent from rep to rep. The first told me I could pay my future dental Cobra out of my FSA and sent me a form to fill out requesting same, which I did. This is not true, dental COBRA doesn't qualify. I hesitate to use the word fraud, but I will NEVER do business with AMERIFLEX again.

The ONLY reason we continue to deal with Ameriflex is because our dental/vision acct. is pre-tax. That being said, even then it is hardly worth it.
For example, my son's orthodontist established a plan to align his bite with braces.
The plan was very detailed, listing the duration of treatment, the amount of each payment, as well as any additional information which may lengthen or shorten the treatment.
I submitted copies of the plan in it's entirety , and called to confirm receipt. I asked to speak with a manager to confirm that Ameriflex would expect monthly payments to the orthodontist for the duration of the treatment. I was assured that I would not have to submit the treatment information again, as they would notate my file.
Every month, Ameriflex would request additional information from me regarding the monthly payment to the orthodontist. Every. Single. Month.
Recently, Ameriflex wanted detailed treatment information from a walk in clinic that had closed. Unable to retrieve the details myself, a Blue Shield agent offered to include Ameriflex on a 3 way call, so that Blue Shield could share the treatment codes directly. After attempting to clarify the office visit (unsuccessfully), the Ameriflex representative was released from the call. The Blue Cross representative simply said she felt sorry for me if that was a normal experience with Ameriflex customer service. Indeed it was.
Ameriflex confiscates the customers money, then does everything possible to avoid any payouts whatsoever. I wish I were exaggerating. This will be the last year we subject ourselves to such treatment. If I could choose "NEVER" when asked if I would AMERIFLEX, I would. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Their customer service is very hard to reach on the phone and has long hold times over 10 minutes whenever called. They also continually deny claims for reimbursement with no valid reason, then when you call they either make an excuse and do something on their end to then accept it or make you resubmit it again.
