Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/07/07) */
According to the invoice/quote from the body shop that provided by Mr. [redacted], our product was modified with drilled holes. The suppose rust brown water could've been from the metal shedding that fell between the hood layers that cause...
rusty water to leak out overtime.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/07/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
AGAIN, as clarified in my second email response to Amerihood/the seller, they were not/are not reading the receipt of work from the body shop correctly. The line item that states holes were drilled, have nothing to do with the hood, but were referring to having a cowl cover plate installed (NOT part of the hood assembly). REREAD the quote. You, they can call the body shop to confirm this procedure. Their response is nothing more than an attempt to get out of rectifying the issue, which is due to the improper preparation of the parts by their 3rd party manufacturer "in China", as well as try to exploit the fact I am not local and assume I will not pursue the matter.
I will not stop until I have a positive and reasonable resolution. My legal counsel fees are free, so I have no hesitation taking this small claims court either. I will drag the hood into court as evidence and the quote that states nothing about the hood being drilled; and a sworn affidavit from the owner of the body shop that they did nothing more than prime and paint the hood.
I can also post bad reviews on all (California) Jeep forums, automotive body part forums, Facebook, etc; until they lose in business/revenue, what I have spent on both labor and the cost of the hood, unless they make a feasible attempt to resolve this.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2016/07/11) */
According to the invoice/quote from the body shop that provided by Mr. [redacted], our product was modified with drilled holes. The suppose rust brown water could've been from the metal shedding that fell between the hood layers that cause rusty water to leak out overtime.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2016/07/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The sellers response is starting to sound like a broken record, rather than an honest business paying attention to what my response was, in clarifying how they are reading the quote from the body shop. There were NO HOLES DRILLED IN THE HOOD, and the cowl plate is NOT part of the hood assembly. Is that in plain enough English? It's unfortunate, because it poses the question how many other customers who bought products from Amerihood/AIT in Chino, CA in good faith, has had the same experience with the company. Guess the next step is small claims.
