Ameriquest Ambulance Reviews (%countItem)

My daughter had a hospital visit in October and at the time we were unaware that she was still enrolled in *** in NJ because we were in the process of enrolling her insurance in Pennsylvania(which had not gone through yet at the time of the visit) I submitted the information and bills to *** and I had gotten a letter back stating that there was no claim on file and the Dr would haveto submit a claim to them so they could provide coverage. I called ameriquest in an attempt to pass on this information and the man I spoke to was very nasty and rude off the bat with me. He cut me off anytime I tried to explain my situation and told me there was no way they would be able to help me because the bill was in collections I asked if he could please listen to what I was trying to say and he cut me off in a very unfriendly unprofessional manner and then hung up the phone on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I was directed to the same man who was once again arrogant and rude. I don't believe I should haveto pay this payment which is now in collections when my daughter had insurance at the time of the visit. This man who is apparently in charge or billing and is the "only manager" in the office should not be able to represent any business in my opinion because he did not even have the respect to listen to his customer. I am very unhappy with this company and especially the customer service I received today.

Ameriquest Ambulance Response • May 08, 2018

Thank you for contacting us regarding the complaint against our company. it is our promise toprovide exceptional care and services to all our clients. On the date in question 04/19/2018 ***called our office regarding an outstanding balance on a bill. The bill was presented to the client severaltimes to resolve the problem, at no time did the client attempt to resolve the issue in a timely matter. Our policy is to submit all non paid claims to a 3rd party Collections agency; as you can see the date ofservice was for 10/20/2017. *** had 6 months of billing and statements from our company andour Collections agency with no resolve or indication of attempting to resolve. On this date of 4/19 ***
*** called the office and spoke with myself regarding this bill. I was kind to her when she was givingme all the requested information. After obtaining what was needed to review her account it was foundto be delinquent; with no active medical insurance to cover Ambulance transport. *** continuedto indicate that she is still in the process of getting insurance; I attempted to inform her that the accountis no longer in our hands and she must contact the Collections agency who holds her account. ***
*** has control of the account and they have made several attempts in contacting *** ingood faith however the issue still was never resolved. After I indicated to *** several times shemust contact them directly as there is nothing I can do on my end; She called me rude and inconsiderateand stated I am going to report you to the Revdex.com. She used several explicit verbiages which I will notrepeat. *** has an outstanding dept with our collections agency and she needs to contact themregarding repayment. I indicated that I am sure they will work with her through the process, howevershe refused to listen to the solution and continued to get angry; Stating your not listening to me. At thattime the call was disconnected which I assumed she hung up on me. She than called us back again atwhich I spoke with her again and she continued to call me names and again said she was going to reportthis to Revdex.com and she was not going to pay the bill. At this time *** hung up the phone and did notcall back. On said date 4/19/2018 I was the only supervising manager in the office with two otheremployee's who also heard the conversation.

Thank youBrandon C, A.A.S, EMSI, NREMTManager

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:The man I spoke to who wrote the response is giving an inaccurate representation of how the conversation began. He was nasty and rude from the start of the conversation not allowing me to get a single word in. I was trying to explain to him that I had submitted a bill to my previous insurance company before the date that the bill was sent to collections. I was unable to tell him that, even though I had asked about 5 times to explain the situation and he continued to cut me off and tell me that he didn't haveto listen to anything I was saying and to call the collections agency. My issue is mainly in the way that HE spoke to me on the phone. I have never had a company manager act in that way when coming to them with a problem.
In fact, I received a bill also from *** hospital for the same date, 10/20/2017. After getting off the phone with the ambulance company, who rejected my plea to even listen to the circumstances surrounding the issue, I called *** and spoke with a woman who was respectful and very helpful in submitting a claim on her end to the insurance company to try and resolve the issue. And even if the woman from *** had not been able to resolve the issue and submit the claim I would not have written a complaint about her or the company because she gave me the courtesy to allow me to speak to her about the bill.
The manager from the ambulance company had a "not my problem attitude" and would not allow me to speak with anyone else who may have been able to help me further.

Regards

I am 96 years old. On 8/11/17 the *** hospital called for a transport from the hospital to *** rehab. An Ameriquest van arrived and we began our transport. The outdoor temp was in the high 80's. The air conditioner in the van did not work and the back windows could not go down. It felt like 100 degrees inside the van. Several times I told the driver to pull over because I felt faint and nauseous from the intense heat and lack of circulation. He insisted in not pulling over. It was a very long ride. I felt so ill and my blood pressure reading was very high by the time we arrived to ***. I feel that I am still recovering from this episode now that I am convalescing at home. I recently sifted though my mail and was horrified to see a bill from Ameriquest for this "ride from hell". I asked my daughter to file this complaint for me.She will file a law suit if this is not resolved.
