Review: This horrible company is refusing to pay my dental claims because they were not able to charge my credit card. They claim that their attempt to charge my credit card was declined when I spoke to them recently. They claim that they sent me letters informing me of this issue, but I have never seen the letters they sent. They have both my email address and phone number on file and failed to contact me in either way. The day of my appointments, I had the dental secretary call Ameritas to make sure my policy was active. It WAS active, so I followed through with the filling and cleaning. Now this trashy company is trying to charge me from June 2015 up to November 2015 for dental work done in August 2015 alone. They claim I owe 255.30 from June 1 to the end of November with additional late fees when I already paid for June and my last dental work was done in August. They included June in the bill when I already paid for June! I had plans to cancel the plan but I didn't do anything because I never saw a charge on my credit card. It is their responsibility to communicate with their clients for non payment. Not to let the policy continue on for 7 months without any attempt to contact and cancel their policy in the end. Their phone system is set up in a way to basically ignore their clients. Many times I would call during their supposed hours, it would say "the office is closed, please call back during these hours". When you are actually able to contact someone, they just give you roundabout answers repetitively or redirect you to a different number which redirects you right back. Every time I asked to speak to a supervisor, they either told me the supervisor couldn't help me, told me to call back another time or told me I would get a call back. I have never spoken to a supervisor yet.Desired Settlement: I would like to pay from July 2015 to the end of August 2015 when I completed the dental work. $75.10 should be the total amount owed(2 months). I already paid for June 2015 but they are trying to charge me AGAIN. Ameritas claims I owe them $255.30 when my policy started in June 1st 2015. I don't think it's fair for me to pay up to November when I had plans to terminate coverage.
