I was charged for 2.5 hours of work when the electrician, *** Z, was only here for 1 hour or less.
I am afraid that the customer has miscalculated the time spent and has underestimated our willingness to correct and confront her. Sorry ***, the days of accepting whatever the customer says because "the customer is always right" has long past. The customer is not always right and the service company has every right to charge for the service and that is what we did. Unfortunately some people think if they threaten to write to the Revdex.com they will be charged less or given a free service. We did absolutely nothing wrong, there is nothing to correct or apologize for and there will be no discounted services.
I got a referal from home advisor in February. I got a phone call from an electrician who called me and said he would come over to give me an estimate. He came over said it was a small job and he could do it right away, so he did the job took about an hour and I offered to pay him on the spot. He said no, he would send me an invoice. I did not hear from him for 6 months when I received a letter in August demanding payment and claiming he had notified me twice and was sending my bill to collection. This was the first I had heard from him since he did the job in February. Regardless I sent him the payment for the job but I did not send the late payment and collection fee he put on the first bill. He cashed my check for services rendered and I received another letter from him informing me he was sending me to collection for the late payment fee.
I would like to respond to the complaint from *** on behalf of Ameriwest Electric Corp. In March of 2019, I spoke with *** regarding his invoice and asked if he would like it to be sent via USPS or email. He requested email and gave me his email address. The invoice was emailed to the email he provided on 3/14/19. As the attached screenshot shows, Mr. viewed his invoice multiple times between the August collection notice and the original date that it was sent, and it remained unpaid. Additionally, Mr. knew that services had been rendered, but never reached out to us looking for an invoice. We don’t hold that it is a customers responsibility to ask for an invoice, but in this case we were aware that he had received and seen his invoice multiple times – yet in his complaint, he claims to never have gotten one. In addition to the emails, I made two phone calls to Mr.’s phone line that went unanswered. There was absolutely no communication from Mr. regarding his balance due until we sent the collection notice. We are always more than willing to work with customers to set up payment plans that can help with financial dificulties. Unfortunately this is a case of standard business processes being followed and the customer doesn’t like it. We wish Mr. well.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received any emails from Ameriwest ever. I doubt they have the correct email address. Or their software is incorrect. I have double checked my spam box and deleted email box and do not see any correspondence from Ameriwest. The first communication I received was by regular mail in August and I paid the bill right away minus the late fee charge. They say they called me, so I wonder if that is true why didnt they leave a message on my voicemail? I have voicemail on my phone. Their business software is incorrect and based on their not leaving me a voicemail but saying they called, they a re probably making up for forgetting to bill me on time.
