Review: The MD put my mother on Repatha by AMGEN, to decrease her cholesterol. The cost of this medication is $542.00 for 2 doses, which is not covered by Medicare. My mother is a senior, living off her Social Security, basically on a fixed income. She has Medicare coverage but you cannot get any help towards the drug cost with Medicare. I have attempted to find international as well as Candian pharmacies that carry this drug to no avail. Some carry the drug but at the same price of $542.00 for 2 doses, which is extraordinarily expensive. I have also attempted to find a drug of similar chemistry to no avail. Consequently, there are no other drugs similar to Repatha. My take on this matter is that Amgen should be FINED for crimes against the Public along with all of these drug companies who rip people off everyday and should be held accountable.

Review: My wife has rheumatoid arthritus. Enbrel was recommended on a trial basis and we had seen the commercials with professional golfer Phil MIchelson. The doctor's office said Enbrel has a program where you can receive the medication free with no out of pocket expense. We decided to give it a try. Completed the paperwork and received a card and letter from Enbrel. The letter stated NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES FOR 6 MONTHS. It also stated $4,000 limit. We don't know the price of this drug and assumed $4,000 would cover the cost of the medication as the letter states no out of pocket costs. After 3 months my wife discontinued use of the product as she received due to no benefit and several side effects. About 30 days later we received a bill from our mail order prescription pharmacy for over $3,000. Enbrel claims a 3 month supply costs $7,000 and that thedy covered $4,000 and we owe the balance. As seniors with several medical issues I feel we were taken advantage of by Amgen and with limited disposable income cannot afford to cover the costs. The program is deceptive and takes advantage of seniors looking for a solution to their joint pain.Desired Settlement: I want Enbrel to cover the $3,000 in additional cost and own up to the fact that this is deceptive advertising and takes advantage of individuals looking for an answer to joint pain.
